Looks like there will be shortages of rough diamond supply for at least 5 years = ever increasing diamond prices for some time with demand likely to stay strong post Covid imo...

I sold mine after leaving an order in yesterday while painting
Didn't expect it to rise so quickly
Looks like sustainable are playing with the price again. Might be back again sometime. long or short

Happy to see it hold 50p+ today for starters. If so we're in business on the run to full year results. Ghaghoo sale confirmation could be announced soon too, the new financial partner with BD. The buying could also be due to imminent divi news, a large stone find, who knows but very undervalued in the current diamond market which is on fire...

Testing the breakout.

Same drill here. Buyers are coming in and hammering through various price points on the offer with large buy orders:

104k picked up at 49.5p
184k sat on the bid at 50p

Someone is very keen here - these are notable blocks for GEMD. If they keep coming in like this, the sellers will get exhausted and the price will breakout.

The offer on the book is thin atm and the sellers haven't come in for a little while yet so an interesting watch this afternoon now to see if they have been exhausted to allow the breakout.

Given there is cash on the balance sheet and some of the big stones that have been found in the past have gone for tens of millions of dollars then you’d think $200/250m is nothing. That said, there has been little to instil any confidence that the board would find a buyer that would give shareholders fair value!

Starting to wonder if something is happening in the background here? Either a fund is building a position or could it even be a bid? The company is daft cheap so it would make a lot of sense for someone to take out the whole thing.

Nibbled a few here.

Watching these bigger orders popping up on the book here:

300k @47p
91.7k@48.5p

Someone gobbled up 119k in one swoop @48p too.

Been a while since I traded this one though. These orders on the book are irregular, that much I know.

Chart is clearly in a downtrend and bobbing around not doing alot atm, but watching these orders to see if....well one has just jumped higher to 50p as I type.

A break of 52p needed for a bullish move really.

Stick my stop under that 300k bid order at 47p.

Now we see if these big buyers keep coming.
