At the full year results the company did say they would now consider buying back shares, now would be an ideal time with the share price weakness and the diamond market so strong. Would be a huge boost in confidence for holders too.

Forgot to add, yesterday you had the big spread 64p to sell 69p to buy, says it all.

Trading update last year was 30 July so not long to go, shares brought down for this reason to keep the range in the 70 -78p when update is released MMs do it all the time with this share.

It's been weak for whatever reason a few weeks now so maybe SC are looking to sell some of there large holding? Aberforth have been buying though and maybe they want more at a lower price?

Totally agree. This is nothing more than market manipulation. This is why I don't use stop losses any more.

Nothing is going on here except for a typical manoeuvre in the chart. Probably they knew before you that the market for diamonds was improving, and the price has been adjusted accordingly. As for me I put sell order all the time to prevent my shares from being shorted. Maybe it doesn’t matter much but I see that often the volume is relatively low compared to what I own. So I do it... It looked like a pullback to the share price in the last days. I expect a bigger volume tomorrow. And I’ll definitely buy a few more if it further drops.

Maybe, also there was a downgrade by Berenberg the other day. MMs do usually try their best to shake out weak holders on the run up to results though and it may also be that. Would think half year results will be in approx 2 weeks. Not many big stones found so far this year could also be a factor but with diamond prices flying it shouldn't be a factor imo

Gemd in Lesotho which is inland of Durban which seems to be the epicentre of the riots etc. Could be causing the share price weakness?

Fingers crossed the diamond market is soaring at present so I hope GEMD sees a fair chunk of the rise too. The 2nd half should be a real cracker!
