Interesting..Hasina the peace-maker..The bangla population is much more satisfied than the pumpers here would make you believe....hence they're not interested in a commercial coal/power venture.

obviously you two 'Thickos' lilylittlejohngroper and findley did not listen to radio4 this morning as the team visited Whitehaven in Cumbria. Above all else, it is the attraction of skilled, well-paid jobs and an economic bounce for the region which is driving the programme / application, to get mining re-instated in the NW> We import 2,000,000 tonnes of coking coal into the UK annually - the residents both old and new want part of the action. BoJo clown has to make a decision by autumn - just in time for COP26.
It's not over 'Thickos' we are still in the ring and fighting our corner.

Now, [Bangladesh’s] focus is more pro-renewables, and [it] seems to be turning away from coal,” says Simon Nicholas, an analyst with US think-tank the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA). “That’s more economics than anything else.” Bangladesh says it wants to generate 40 per cent of its power from renewable energy within 20 years.
