Hark at old AP. Jealous as he has been hanging out the back of Longjohn for so long. So bitter and rattled as he simply can’t come to terms with the facts around coal. Poor little eco troll.

Why won't Bangladesh approve the coal proposal and issue a mining permit? It's been 14 years now and they REFUSE to issue a permit to extract coal....and you bunch of merry clappers continue to suck eachother off in anticipation.

I just love this stuff - Benchmark high-grade thermal coal with an energy value of 6,000 kcal/kg at the port of Newcastle ended last week at $135.63 a tonne, the highest in 10 years, and up by more than half in just the past two months.

This grade of coal is mainly bought by Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, which rank behind China and India as Asia’s top importers of coal.

Those three countries imported 14.77 million tonnes of all types of coal from Australia in June, according to Kpler, down from May’s 17.05 million, but up strongly from 12.46 million in June 2020.

But the real saviour for Australian coal has been India, which imported a record 7.52 million tonnes of all grades in June, up from 6.61 million in May and just 2.04 million in June 2020.

India tends to buy intermediate grade thermal coal from Australia, which sells at a substantial discount to the 6,000 kcal/kg fuel.
INDIA - what's India up to ??? flogging their dirty coal to Bangla and buying cheaper intermediate stuff. The Banglas are so out of their depth - just say yes to Phulbari and give the whole project to China to build and manage.
Clueless....

Heard Dale speaking about BP and renewables on Radio4 last year. 8% of the world's energy needs then , even if it has doubled in the last 12 months, there is a long way to go. Mindless chatter - GCM is gonna BEHUGE........fossil fuels have another three decades....

(Nb. Increase "mainly driven by China")Global Wind and Solar Power Capacity Grew At Record Rate In 2020The world's wind and solar energy capacity grew at a record rate last year while the oil industry recorded its steepest slump in demand since the second world war, according to BP. The Guardian reports:The impact of coronavirus lockdowns on the energy industry led carbon emissions to plummet by 6% on the year before, the sharpest decline since 1945, according to BP's annual review of the energy sector. But the report says the impact of Covid on carbon emissions needs to be replicated every year for the next three decades if governments hope to limit global heating to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels. "Yes, they were the biggest falls seen for 75 years," said Spencer Dale, BP's chief economist. "But they occurred against the backdrop of a global pandemic and the largest economic recession in postwar history. The challenge is to reduce emissions without causing massive disruption and damage to everyday lives and livelihoods."Meanwhile the "relentless expansion of renewable energy" meant electricity generated by wind, solar and hydroelectricity plants was "relatively unscathed," Dale said. The report found that global wind and solar power capacity grew by 238GW in 2020, more than five times greater than the UK's total renewable energy capacity. The increase was mainly driven by China, which accounted for roughly half of the global increase in wind and solar energy production capacity, but even controlling for that 2020 was a record year for building wind and solar farms. Dale said the trend away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy last year was "exactly what the world needs to see as it transitions to net zero."

Until the plug is royally and formally pulled, nobody is taking any notice of a tin pot, eco troll and it’s resident illiterate sidekick bell end. One bit of positive news and you know this will rocket and conversely any negative news and it will be gone. It’s a binary bet and all of us real investors are here for the ride. Coal is going to be around for a long time yet so get used to it eco troll although I know deep down you’re fully aware of that already.
