Price not moved, Poundland closed early, Littlejohn off with his INCEL mates ha ha ha £10 ha ha ha - normal Tuesday.
Seen the photo Findley ?? 100 wagon coal train with 100 tonnes of coal / wagon - just one days consumption for a 1200MW generator. Sounds like an awful lot of wind turbines & solar panels for the Bunglas to install to match that generation.......no chance, simply way beyond their capability.

The example I gave above from Germany shows that Coal is very much alive and Germany is sticking with it going forward despite the pollution from their low grade coal and the need to displace several villages. It almost as if renewables are not able to replace coal and /or they are not going to because they are a lot more expensive than using your OWN Coal!

You mention Merkle and there is an article in yesterday’s Sunday Times about Open pit coal in Germany
“Despite it’s pious image Europe’s biggest economy is a world class coal powered polluter”
The massive Garzweile open cast mine is a source of lignite brown coal one of the most polluting energy sources (the high quality coal at Phulbari is massively less polluting).
This project still has 5 more villages to Compulsorily purchase by 2028 on top of the ones already done moving thousands of people.
The West is in no position to tell Bangladesh not to use coal when the west continues to push on with their own projects. If it makes economic sense for Germany it does even more so for Bangladesh and Bangladesh will be less polluting.
Phulbari should be approved without delay.
