I wouldn't take any notice of Perky Porker and his daft updates, they are irrelevant.
Anyone who listened to Radio4 an hour ago and from their correspondent in Dhaka, will quickly realise Bangla is in a mess with Covid. They have been in lockdown for a fortnight, that has been lifted to allow a mass exodus home to the countryside for 'Big Eid' as it is known. It's chaotic with over crowded ferries and trains - the police have given up trying to manage the population flight.
Many people are struggling for food and medicines but the cronies of the government have their factories running flat out under a 'nod & wink' regime of the authorities.
Forget about Phulbari for now, it will be on the back-burner and I doubt if GCM has even met with the government for discussions. This will roll on for many months yet.
