07/9/2022 08:33 | It does indeed so we could get counter bids. | hotfinance14
07/9/2022 08:30 | Well it puts GBG in play now | gswredland
07/9/2022 08:22 | The odd thing for me is that this Chicago equity firm allowed the possible purchase to leak which will obviously result in the share price increasing and therefore them having to pay a higher premium if a bid does come in. Perhaps they wanted the leak for some reason. | hotfinance14
07/9/2022 07:53 | What is inevitable and why ? | hotfinance14
07/9/2022 07:50 | Inevitable. | kemche
07/9/2022 07:47 | Ideagen was recently taken out on a multiple of recurring revenues of around 10x if my memory is not letting me down (will check later). | terry topper
07/9/2022 07:07 | Shares rise at GB Group as US private equity firm confirms possible takeover hxxps://www.thebusin | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 21:34 | I only hold 13.3'% of my highest holding I started selling around 2013, tbh this kind of panicked me today as it's a big change to my plans... I've gone back looked at losses and you know it will be alright. I think the offer will be less than I would accept. Also a lot of shares have been issued since I stopped accumulating. | wolansm
06/9/2022 20:49 | Let's ignore the current share price as stupidly cheap, putting aside fears of recession and the merits of buying Acuant at $750M or so. Imagine GB Group within 3 years having at least £300M revenues and eps of 50p+. An offer lower than 900p would be easy to reject. The synergy for GTCR looks to be with their 2021 acquisition of Cisive, slightly smaller than GBG, offering employee screening services globally and including the Carco pre-insurance fraud checking business. | marktime1231
06/9/2022 20:20 | It will be interesting to see how the share price reacts to this news tomoz. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 18:34 | Putting them back into an isa created other risks, I believe you cannot claim loses. If a bid come at £10 that a large cgt bill is the order of the day I don't think BPR is relevant on that..... it is what it is | wolansm
06/9/2022 18:28 | They once were in an isa but went to aim and never put them back,I did hold a lot at that point and couldn't get them back in. | wolansm
06/9/2022 18:24 | We recently had a placing of 725p plus directors purchsed shares around this value and the new CFO about £8.50 in the last 12 months. Any bid must be over £7 surely. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 18:18 | Wol..If you hold them in an ISA no tax. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 18:10 | Yes it feels too soon to see the benefit of GB Group's bold acquisition in to the US market, but I guess the slide in cable means the GBG share price looks dirt cheap if it already wasn't. And yes I am in to this up to £9+ when some of the insiders sold off, so it had better be a great offer, clock ticking to 4 Oct. (edit - no, actually my highest price was a rebuy at 850p having sliced some at 940p.) No I can't find any press speculation, this is GTCR's stable ... Funnily enough I was feeling grumpy last week that none of my speculative stakes had enjoyed a boost from a take out; oh well. Worth a speculative add or should we wait and see? | marktime1231
06/9/2022 18:03 | A high premium means a high cgt bill or are there rules out there shielding this, | wolansm
06/9/2022 17:56 | I agree Wol. Hopefully any bid is rejected unless it is at a huge premium. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 17:48 | I really don't want this.... I would rather sell into highs | wolansm
06/9/2022 17:40 | Has anybody seen the press speculation article ? | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 17:33 | If the bid comes in I hope it is not cheap considerting we had an share price of over £9 about a year or so ago. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 17:28 | In response to the recent press speculation regarding GB Group plc (the "Company" or "GBG"), GTCR LLC ("GTCR"), on behalf of certain of its affiliated funds, confirms that it is currently considering a possible cash offer for the Company. | libertine
06/9/2022 17:28 | Just seen the RNS : Statement regarding GB Group plc In response to the recent press speculation regarding GB Group plc (the "Company" or "GBG"), GTCR LLC ("GTCR"), on behalf of certain of its affiliated funds, confirms that it is currently considering a possible cash offer for the Company. There can be no certainty that any firm offer will be made, nor as to the terms on which any firm offer might be made. | hotfinance14
06/9/2022 17:25 | Party has announced they are considering a cash bid. | chanson
06/9/2022 16:15 | Presumably it's ridiculously cheap compared to larger American outfits. | alphabeta4 |
