08/3/2021 13:49 | Mylands, you are confusing Residence with domicile. If it was that easy many many of us would do it. Do your research and you will find that shedding domicile is very very difficult and not finally determined by hmrc until after death. | shaker44
08/3/2021 13:40 | It's just gifting a few of his shares to family presumably for estate planning. It has no meaning in the context for GAN imo - certainly relative to the prospects and potential. | rivaldo
08/3/2021 12:45 | Can't even use the liquidation argument they used for the CFO that sold because this guy net worth is like 500M. | mets333
08/3/2021 12:44 | Would shareholders be notified if his kid sold the 170k shares? | mets333
08/3/2021 11:36 | A person domiciled in Monaco for more than three years is no longer subject to IHT. | mylands
08/3/2021 09:52 | He may be resident in Monaco but achieving non Dom status to achieve iht freedom is a whole different ball game that very few ever manage to achieve. | shaker44
08/3/2021 09:33 | Someone mentioned Sir Michael's IHT planning by gifting shares to members of his family. Since he is domiciled in Monaco, a no tax area, IHT is not an issue. | mylands
07/3/2021 07:44 | Interesting commentary from Berenberg on prospects for gambling in the USA following Flutter's results.... "The German bank was particularly attracted by Flutter's commentary on the US. Sports betting is being legalised in many states for the first time following a Supreme Court ruling in 2018, allowing UK bookmakers - experienced in sports betting - to tap into the lucrative market. ....It upped its total US addressable market forecast to USD20 billion, "a material upgrade to our previous estimate". This was due to a rise in the number of states expected to regulate sports betting. "We now expect online sports betting to be available to 65% of the US adult population by 2025 while gaming is expected to be accessible to 16% (previously 50% and 11% respectively)," the company said." | rivaldo
07/3/2021 02:40 | No argument Pete, just a genuine question. Thought I was overlooking a downside that I couldn't spot. Seems to me like small placings at market price if he is just gifting and recipients don't sell | shaker44
06/3/2021 20:13 | Easy to lose all sense of proportion and reality and yourself in LAS VEGAS Dyor | remarkomsoc
06/3/2021 18:55 | I can already sense the argument or tone. Every time on the internet. I suppose it doesnt change the story per se does it, fundamentals seems the same as far as we know. But thats the point as far as we know. So far we have had the commercial director flip his entitlements. Now it looks like Michael has deliberately (if I'm of a suspicious mind) has gifted shares to disguise a sell off, who know what will happen to the rest of his holding which is now 0.1% less than the disclosure rules. (Disclaimer in a hope to avoid the usual vitriol on here, A wholly suspicious perspective albeit and may well just be inheritance planning).Either way, retailers are often kept in the dark till any announcement and for one have my radar up, a behaviour which has saved my bacon more times than I like to remember.Regardless, | texas pete1
06/3/2021 18:43 | So how does sir Michael moving a few shares around change the value of Gan?? | shaker44
06/3/2021 18:41 | That would be the convenient explanation. Let's hope so. But for me, one more sniff of something like this and I'm gone. | texas pete1
06/3/2021 18:41 | Got to be. He's 84. | busterdog2
06/3/2021 18:38 | IHT planning? | molatovkid
06/3/2021 16:37 | That's dodgy behaviour if you ask me | texas pete1
06/3/2021 08:25 | Sir Michael Smurfit has been gifting shares to members of his family and now holds 4.99%, just below the declarable holding announcement level. | mylands
05/3/2021 23:34 | Recovered well. Go GAN! It’s been a bloodbath on nasdaq these last few days. Let’s see what next week brings. | crozzdeboar
05/3/2021 16:37 | Draftkings down 12% today, Caesars down 5% today. A general market issue | tomv33
05/3/2021 16:23 | What goes up can just as easily go down, as we are witnessing here. As far as I can tell, the future for GAN is good and there is no reason for me to change my mind on that. Just noticed that Tesla is now down to $550. Only a few weeks ago it was up at $900. How the mighty have fallen. I wonder where Elon now stands on the list of the world's richest people? | mylands
05/3/2021 16:11 | Seems gan is being priced as a tech stock not a gambling stock yet it's revenue is gambling surely? | shaker44
05/3/2021 15:49 | Exciting day | texas pete1
05/3/2021 15:21 | Looks like a Tech issue with lots of US based stocks on H&L, not just GAN | nicolred5
05/3/2021 14:34 | Anyone else not able to get a price online at H & L today? Wondered if it had anything to do with volatility yesterday? Thanks | nicolred5 |
