28/3/2014 09:49 | very good Ting Tong. Tossing and turning were ya? Posting @ 1.24 a.m.? As for those 8 'reasons': aren't they just incredibly feeble? (They are not reasons why games workshop 'loves you': they are just excited/thrilled comments on a very small selection of material - by a user. GAW is good at merchandising - no doubt about that!) Those grandly named bits of plastic don't actually 'go into battle' you know! They are inanimate, in case you haven't noticed. Exactly how big is 'space hulk'? Hmm?? And 'eight foot tall ninjas'? But if you love make-believe, then enjoy! PS: I do hope your PTEC shares don't slide further! | 2magpies
28/3/2014 01:24 | 8 Reasons Why Games Workshop Loves YouPAUL GOODMAN | 27 MARCH 2014 6:00 AMLast week, we talked about 8 reasons why that Games Workshop doesn't like us. But this week, we're going to flip it around and talk about 8 reasons why they actually like us, if only a little. | nod

26/3/2014 11:37 | sp is now nudging the 50day sma will it act as resistance? will there be a bounce? throw that decagon.......... 1 = post bullish comment on thread (if dice lands within 1 in of a dried bogey on the gaming table, post twice) 2 = hysterically reach for the filter button (but only if the number 5 is also facing towards the tallest player around the table) 3 = immediately accuse a poster of lying (but only if every player is wearing black AND one of them has a birthday that day, but NOT if it's a leap year) 4 = brag about your age and how many years you have been investing in shares (this is only allowed if the square-root of the weight of the dice contains a numeral that is also contained in the figure representing the average weight of the players + the weight of the table) 5 = use aliases to post, in order not to be too transparent, and therefore too easily spotted (this can only be done if the dice has 'tumbled/rolled' at least three times before coming to rest, AND one of the players is called 'Darren') 6 = post a comment that comes across as 'research', but, in reality is just a ramp (this must only be done if the player with the highest BMI agrees to do a solo rendition of 'tiki tiki tonga', and no one giggles/laughs) 7 = post a mutually sycophantic comment - perhaps aimed at one of your own aliases, to project an illusion of popularity of viewpoint being posited (for this to be allowed, the 'down-stroke' of the number '7' on the dice, must have landed pointing magnetic north, and it is either March or August) 8 = lie blatantly, and pretend not to have read a post by a poster you have filtered (this can only be done if the dice fails to roll on the table at all and just rests as it lands, AND the oldest player has had coco-pops for breakfast, provided also that the said player is at least 40 years of age) 9 = post snippets that tantalise some, and make some others wonder if you actually work for the Imperator, being a bit too specific, perhaps in an unguarded moment {this must only be done if no one at the table has used the words 'kool', 'like' (pronounced 'lack'), and 'kind-of', AND there was a thunderstorm going on at the time} 10 = sell, but continue ramping (for this to be allowed, the distance between the top of the shortest player's head and the ceiling must be the same in inches, as the dice is, in millimeters, from the point where it landed on the very first throw of the game, AND you must recite Auld Lang Syne, backwards) | 2magpies

21/3/2014 09:16 | Nod - Warhammer Quest is fantastic, just like dawn of war games on the Pc. Look forward to it! | mozy123
21/3/2014 08:36 | I see Ting Tong's having sleepless nights. No wonder: look what's happening to PTEC's sp! pillar to post. LOL! | 2magpies
21/3/2014 03:16 | GAW had a lean period with licence fees for desktop and console games but mobile gaming is hotting up."Who's up for another announcement of another upcoming game based on Games Workshop's popular Warhammer fantasy war-game franchise? You are? Well, in that case, you're in luck.Pixel Hero Games, the creator of the console-quality iOS adventure gameSpiral Episode 1, has just announced that it's developing an action adventure game based on "Xenos," one of the books set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. "Xenos" is the first book in the bestselling "Eisenhorn" trilogy written by Marvel Comics veteran Dan Abnett. The game is called Eisenhorn: Xenos. According to Pixel Hero:Set in the grim, dark future of Warhammer 40,000 'Eisenhorn: XENOS' tells the story of Gregor Eisenhorn, an Inquisitor and member of the 'Ordo Xenos', sent out to fight and protect the Imperium of man from anything that may threaten it.Eisenhorn: Xenos is set to be released on mobile devices in 2015.For this year, three Warhammer 40,000 games have been scheduled for launch. There's Eutechnyx's lane defense strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance, which comes out on Thursday, March 27. And out later this year are Slitherine's turn-based strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, and Hero Craft's turn-based tactical combat game,Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf.Of course, if you want to play a Warhammer game on your iOS device right now, you can do just that with Rodeo Games' dungeon-crawling strategy game, Warhammer Quest. | nod
18/3/2014 10:24 | 2magpies I have no absolutely problem with different viewpoints about a business being posting on a forum. To quote Buffett, you pay a very high price in the stock market for a cheery consensus. I can also easily spot people who are blatantly ramping a stock. However I fail to see what 'Mozy123' finds amusing about people with disabilities enjoying Games Workshop products. | robinnicolson
18/3/2014 09:06 | There is little to discuss at this point prior to the next update. | essentialinvestor
18/3/2014 09:04 | the so-called 'discussion' was no more than a contrived (and mutually sycophantic) 'dialogue' between arch ramper and his aliases. And now that 'discussion' has vanished. From that you can work out who it was that was ramping, in the guise of 'research'. Such posters are easy to spot on various threads. | 2magpies

17/3/2014 15:49 | autism spectrum - what planet are you on? | mozy123
17/3/2014 15:34 | This shop was not in a 'high street' but in an exceptionally central area, with, as I said, thousands of shoppers/visitors. My point: that that particular shop is not making enough sales. Therefore, the rents, which I know are absolutely astronomical at that location, must be a real burden. But, perhaps it is a calculated expense, for name recognition (I guess). The 'hobby' is not dead. It probably never will be dead. As long as the autism spectrum exists, such activities will find an appeal. That's not to say that only those with such conditions find it attractive, by any means. However, does that necessarily translate into an enterprise with a market cap of £165m? As for 'rarity' value: items can be made worthless by being deemed superfluous. It isn't like gold coins, e.g. : an Edward III Noble, although no longer legal tender (by several centuries), is rare, and valuable. A piece of plastic, however tooled or painted, has no intrinsic worth. Good luck with your investment, and hobby. I shall just keep posting my observations. | 2magpies
17/3/2014 14:44 | Not forgetting that there are probably a couple of independants per town plus on line sales and add ons such as Forge World international sales and shows and competions globally. The business portfolio globally is massive. Further more just look the resale values of oop items on ebay and you will see that the products increase in value as they become rarer and collectable. As far as I'm concerned this augers well for the future as the hobby is far from dead. | oilyrag |
