I'm not into gaming stocks per se. My son was into the models about 10 years ago and I have watched GAW ever since. Not always been a holder though. It's an unorthodox company. Their company reports are entertaining - not your usual Chairman and CEO blurb. The dividends have been very good in recent years and we've had excellent capital gain over the past 5 years while many other retailers have struggled.

Interesting. I wonder if Quantum was helping to walk the share price down to 700p. It looked as though somebody was working it down during a quiet period.Quantum must be expecting a good trading update and results.

I think more relief that there was not a warning. They have warned before in the first week of Jan when trading has been weak. I suspect trading in line.

I was hoping there would be a trading update by the end of this week. Consumer confidence appears to have picked up quite significantly from this time last year. Not sure why GAW has not responded to this.

We have hit a six month low. There has been no new since the finely detailed one line IMS in September as follows:"In the three months to 1 September 2013 trading has been broadly in line with the board's expectations."With the US economy slowly picking up let's hope the January trading update has a little more beef. Let's hope the word "broadly" means broadly up rather than broadly down across the board.I wonder if some of these Bulgarians and Rumanians coming to live in Britain over the next six months will help UK retail.

In some years GAW has given us a trading update in early January with the Interims later in January.I notice that we are just about to touch the 200-day moving average. This is an important support level. Over the past five years, the 200-day has only been breached a few times usually for short periods - 2011 was a bit longer. The technical analysis programs will be alerting traders.

1st December is merely the date of the half-year end, not when the half-year report will be released, which will be January as Woozle says

Just looked at the calender and the 1st is a Sunday which seems odd. However it is on their website here It does seem odd they have bought it forward this year.

Updating the header now.
Spotted this recent news in one of the header links:

"On September 18th 2013, it was announced by Mythic that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning will be shutting down on December 18th 2013, due to the licence agreement with Games Workshop coming to an end."

Electronic Arts stopped work on AOR in 2009 prior to the company reporting a massive US$1 Billion loss.

So, will remove the header links to AoR
