epo - we all know there are still hurdles to jump but compared to yesterday the covid picture is very much brighter.
And the generally blue stock markets think so to.

Off topic but press releases have no therapeutic benefit. Vaccines have to undergo extensive trials, get manufactured, get distributed and then get applied to people. Emergency services, health workers and military will be head of the queue, followed by the wrinklies. If it is like the flu and mutates, you'll need a new jab a year or so later. I really think that, albeit somewhat toned down, now is the new normal.

What is not good for the share price is the customer base losing disposable income which continued lockdowns make inevitable

A vaccine - not so good for the share price here but well done the chemists.

There's a few companies in Nottingham that have been formed by ex-GAW staff. Mantic Games is another. Battlefront Games also have an operation in Nottingham but have their HQ in NZ after their founder, a former GAW staffer, emigrated there.

I happened to bump into this company again on my Cyber travels today. They are also based in the heart of wargaming’s spiritual home, Nottingham. Former GAW staff, made redundant in 2007, set up a toy soldier manufacturing and tabletop gaming company with historical themes rather than fantasy. Airfix meets Warhammar.

Haha. Yes, I forget how high the share price is. I bought below 2 quid (not 20 quid) and can't get my head around these big numbers when I'm tired.

1rcl,

UK independent Alchemists Workshop say they are sending the MTO Indomitus set to customers from tomorrow. They still have a 100 or so copies left from the 600 odd they ordered (guessing 400 customer orders + 200 stock) which is a pretty significant overspill order.

The way the MTO was handled (it didn't appear to be clear initially that independents would be able to get the MTO supply) must have funnelled customers towards GW online imo.

Very hard to read too much into Friday's TS imo as Q1's margin was such an outlier at 50% (excluding royalties) and they're always conservative when using 'at least'

Nod, you may wish to spend another minute or two reflecting on your comment re the share price, lol! I really wish the price had fallen to below £4 as I would have seriously loaded up! In fact it was £40 and it quickly doubled to £80. Good luck to all LTH’s.

It is rumoured that the Indomitus made-to-order shipping has begun. If true, this will enable the revenues for these orders to be credited to H1 figures. Perhaps this was the trigger for the Friday afternoon announcement? Who knows (I certainly don't)?

I've spent 10 minutes reflecting on the recent share price gyrations driven by the UK lockdown. Back in March the share price fell well below 4 quid before doubling to 8 quid by June. The anxiety is understandable but probably overdone given our international business and online trading (both GW online and Trade online).
I'm not giving advice.

GW continues to trickle out teasers for the Angels of Death animation series. It was originally scheduled for late 2019. Covid takes the wrap for recent delays.

17 October 2020 teaser:
"The team behind Angels of Death are continuing to wow us with gritty, blood-spattered action as the Blood Angels come to life (and, everyone in the office agrees Livia Sorken is shaping up to be one badass ship’s captain). It looks like there’s going to be some seriously bloody combat in that show."

In that same article was a teaser for another animated series:
"Hammer and Bolter also continues apace – you can see shots from three episodes in this showreel. That pledge made earlier in the year, that this animated anthology would explore the breadth of the 40K universe, is definitely coming true! We’re probably speaking for everyone when we say, we need to see more Aeldari action."

I reckon you’ll see this at 150 over the next few months. I’ll have to buy more on Monday.

Happy holder, wish I'd bought more. But 15% of my ISA holdings so also wish some others had done as well.

Does anyone know what the timing rules are for funds like Buffetology who have to sell? Is it a set time period or can they bide their time and sell into a rising market like yesterday?

I did the same, took a 160% profit which would normally be fantastic. Now I'm just kicking myself for my short sightedness.
