Yes. Congratulations Roland. As you say a game changer. For the NI economy in general and the local economy of Omagh creating hundreds of new jobs. But how and why has it taken so long. Wouldn't Be surprised if someone with a fat cheque book turned up now. Roll up roll up the only gold mine in Britain and with all the necessary planning consents. Tick Tock aimo nai dyor
Good luck to all the very patient long term holders.

Some extracts from the news release...

Roland Phelps, President & CEO, Galantas Gold Corporation, commented, "This is a significant milestone and a game changer for Galantas. Our open pit gold mine, operated until recently, is the only one in Ireland.

That business will draw upon the excellent engineering infrastructure and skilled, flexible labour pool around Omagh and create hundreds of local jobs, providing a real boost to the economy of Northern Ireland.

Our strategy is to establish the underground mine as soon as finance is available and look for further expansion of gold resources on the property, which has many un-drilled targets. "

And there we have it, albeit over a year too late at least.

We finally have had our permit for underground gold mining in the UK granted by the Minister of the Environment, Northern Ireland, Mr. Mark H. Durkan.

They are talking of creating hundreds of jobs locally.

The start of something positive at long last.

Thanks for the update. Your thoughts are interesting and appreciated. I do believe that we may just, at last, be close to approval. Let's hope so any way for all the long term investors who have shown such patience. A credit to Roland who I think has the respect of most. He deserves it in any event.

The graph looks awesome with some northerly movement imminent. About time some may say. Have been topping up myself in anticipation. GLA AIMO NAI

I attended.

The planning permission for underground mining is both strongly supported by local councillors and is now with the minister for 'imminent' approval after having cleared all final hurdles at last. But then again, how many times have we thought that before? This time though, it really does look to be the case.

There were 3 companies presenting, but in the after presentations drinks and canapes session, many were coming over to Roland Phelps to hear him talk. A few said they came to see other companies but found the current case for GAL to be the strongest investment case. This air of all round positivity was not apparent at the last 2 times I saw GAL presentations at the same venue. This was also the most positive I have seen Roland so I think he really does believe that we are about to close the 'deal' at long last.

May could be an interesting month in a company transformational way.

I note that each Party has a demand in for additional funding for the Province from the UK Government, probably to help those left unemployed because of Planning Applications have not been approved.

Perhaps I am being cynical?

Time has come for the those purporting to lead on all sides in Northern Ireland to take a stand against the NIMBYs of this world.

Holding back a planning decision has cost good people their livelihoods and the prosperity of the local area.

Or even more than that nmf777 .

foret ....... And all that without the news we've all been expecting. Millions of shares (in old money) been traded recently. Someone's feeling confident that planning permission is about to be given. Let's hope they are correct.

Another placing making it the second since May 14th. Lats time investors paid 5p a pop with warrants enabling 10p purchases. Glad to see these placings are private. It might provide some support in the short-term. Wonder how long before the planning decision comes through?

Thanks Nat Hart.

Yes it seems to be a high stakes game now.

And i suppose a RNS about an expection of permission is counting chickens before they hatch.

However if planning issues are ironed out this quarter do you see any market interest in this company?

Well Nat and Foret, Britain is and never has been in any other country solely for the good of the people there. All three governments have known if you had a referendum in the whole of Ireland and one in the whole of Britain then both would probably have voted for a british withdrawal and/or a united Ireland. But it is a long running vanity project for the Conservative and Unionist party. This of course was mirrored in the last minute panic around the Scottish referendum and the buy-off.I suppose there is Nimbyism everywhere. it would be interesting to know from locals the exact strength of the opposition.
