The results, however, revealed encouraging organic growth of 6%, with 12% coming from developing markets, which now accounts for over a third of the group's profits and 4% in developed markets.
Following the recent weakness, G4S trades on 10.5x forward earnings, which given analysts amended growth forecasts of 12.3% next year, still leaves them on a PEG of less than one. The prospective yield is now 4.2%, which looks safe being over twice covered by earnings.
In light of the earlier analysis of the FTSE 100, combined with the close proximity of major technical support and the undemanding fundamentals at market leader G4S, I believe the fall offers a strong buying opportunity. A stop-loss below support at 238.8p offers limited downside, while targets are seen at 274.3p 289.5p and 309p.

Definitely got all the ingredients to go lower this one. Hope so because long term is a no brainer and would love to pick some up sub 200p. With the usual two more profit warnings pending looks like I probably will??

Thanks for that info hjs, not being a holder I did not take any notice of it.

The 9 days after that RNS the share price rose from 295 - 315.8 ATH.

Will have another look at this after XD.

247.10 was the last major low on the last big drop for this stock. I see today it's hit 246.60 and bounced slightly.

It's not technical analysis, but people do watch these levels so it's no coincidence that some have jumped in around this level. But my hunch is that as margins are being squeezed not just in the UK, the issue with the Olympics and the fact that general vibe appears to be that most investors have no confidence in the current CEO, and also there's been comments on the company report stating they expect margin pressures for the next year I think this will drop further.

The article in the investors chronicle does still keep me interested in this stock, but I'd be looking to buy it cheaper or not at all. Goldman may have actually gotten this right.

The next level I'm looking at is 240.40 if that doesn't hold then 237.30, 229.5O and 214.20. Either way, I'm not taking the risk of buying just now given the fact that the overall markets are at all time highs and with the above considerations.

The FD's sell of 400k shares on 17th April was a "signal" for the down trend. This will go down further so do not look for "bottom" yet.

No sign of a bottom here. Trend line from last year's lows at 245.

Today's volume similar to the big down day following the RNS admitting the Olympic debacle. (2 down days before that gap when the news was in the public domain but the company had said nothing as I recall). Intraday low the next week 237.7p.

Chart from July last year

259p looks to becoming into a decent buy in range.
Currently holding at 232p, maybe top up at 252p!!!

Surely it is being well oversold today??
