I'm not sure if there's some trickery going on and they screwed me over or perhaps this was just correct in this case - i'd like any opinions.

I was short on JJB from 108p. The morning of the trading statement came out I wasn't sure how the market would react. As I went to close my position at 101, the market dropped to 93p. Then this bar came up telling me it was trying to process my trade - then it hung for about 30 seconds while the market price was 93p and filled my order at 101p :(

Other times, like yesterday I tried to short the FTSE when it was freefalling and it just wouldn't fill my order.

Ben....quite a lot of bad comments about CAPS on the other thread I noticed. epic is CAPS.

I've suffered so much with their 'tricks'.....so am gonna have to find another SB Co to use. I've been spurred into action by other comments....and also they cost me several hundred quid last week. Also potentially a fortune on a blinder of a trade that they did not fill.....shame as would have given £1,800.

Not what you need when trading, you don't need to wind up as it can affect my trading. I get kinda moody when I get mugged!!

Mr @~@~@@

That letter sounded very impersonal! I'm jacking it in with those clowns. I have CMC who are lightning fast...but find it impossible to set stops....I'm sure they are very reliable, but just a complex process.

I think IG might be the best bet, but will watcxh out of hours spikes.

Chippy, is "Mr @~@~@@" your name or is that you smoking a big joint after the stress you had with the robbin' b@$t@rd$ ?

Caveat: All in my humble opinion. (after I've lost soooo much to caps errors, I can't afford to be taken to court by them for deformation!!!)

Caps....and all sb co's need to be very careful!!!!!

Otherwise they will have someone walking into their office one day with a sawnoff under a long coat, as happened in US a 2/3 yrs back.

In fact with the internet, its not to difficult to find out where those SB's rodent owners, and co rodent workers live...;)

Last week I had a trade rejected.....got that red error message box. I could see that it had not filled.....just as well i thought....bad entry (a lapse of concentration on my part...I'm only human....err penguin!)

Went to get a cuppa...came back and there was the m0th3r fikkin trade...£780 underwater....!!!!!!!!!! Took me the rest of the afternoon to get that sorted out....lots of stress, but you have to be really agressive....and don't give up.

agree Alf - its a rotten buisness! you have to have nerves of steel or loads of money in the first place (margin) and do everything else right also.

Well i know the director Simon reads bulletin boards as he comments on Trade2win

I haven`t bothered registering at T2W but i hope he reads some of these comments

These are common place and far to frequent

Ok for balance the markets are volatile BUT this occurs without the volatilty

They the sb companies were all using tactics today apparently

I am amazed that they gave £500 goodwill gesture. I've got a few gestures for them.....mostly involving one finger!

chippy and everyone
sorry to hear about that stuff.
I know people wont be intersted in this but I'll suggest it anyways.
how about forming a representative association - obviously wouldne be able to look into individual trades - but would have a collective voice when days like today happen. along the lines of a landlords association - for a fixed fee per annum would give access to legal advice etc.
I am sure they are loads of reason why it wouldnt work. just an idea.

Almost sent through my details and opened an account sometime back, but the nightmare stories were just too many and not ONE good comment until the above of £500. Seems a bit over the top, sounds almost like favouritism?
