22/1/2008 19:08 | roll up roll up! 1 point spread. Once we have you .....ho ho ho.... we're take your order and cut you off just before you go minus. | hithere2
22/1/2008 19:06 | Found exacly the same chippy Screen said "rejected" then appeared What`s all that about Then they go and widen the spread Finally they stop trading the dow at 11720 and reopen 300 points higher So you finally left chippy , i don`t blame you last chance saloon for them if this happens again | alfg
22/1/2008 18:58 | WARNING We need to check EVERY trade. If a stop/limit is hit overnight, they CLAIM to close at 7 am at the FIRST price. You have to CHECK this. Several times I found they were closing at a price giving THEM an advantage. And they AGREED it was their mistake, and did a correction. THIS SHOULDNT BE NECESSARY. | ben nevis
22/1/2008 18:56 | Tlee05, We are only talking £260 on this particular trade but its the fact that it happens everyday is the problem. They gave me £15 because of an error they found. I do about 10 trades a day with them. I havent lost any money today but thats not the point. edit yep they daid they had no record of it being rejected. | chippy2
22/1/2008 18:50 | Yep £700 least £500 came back! Good will.... I know it's a pain to print screen and we should not have to do it but just open up loads of clipboards safest way. I'm guessing they said they don't have a record of it being rejected? Anyways hopefully there systems will be a bit better tomorrow as they said they had a power cut this morning.. | tlee05
22/1/2008 18:46 | Thanks wcjan, But ive just closed my account and withdrawn the money, my final discrepancy with them was a trade which I took and didnt get filled. A few minutes later there it was and underwater. I closed it when I spotted it. But its just aswell I didnt leave the room a long while. They refused to give the loss back so thats it ! | chippy2
22/1/2008 18:32 | Lol! I had a very stressful day half my good orders wern't accepted then accepted on the downfall! Lost a shed load on the DOW also the FTSE earlier because of this aiming to make it back tomorrow lets hope the systems are a bit faster. I did ring up Capital trades earlier as it said rejected but wernt... I thought I would grab a drink etc toilet so on. And to my surprise I saw a lost of 1.2k where the hell is this coming from ooooh that rejected trade has come in.... so gave them a little nag on the phone about this rejected order and they said they had no record of it being rejected but offered me £500 as a good will. So sort of helpful. SCREEN SHOT! with capital. | tlee05
22/1/2008 18:28 | i have literally done this with another company at lunchtime today for a considerable sum and it took 45mins (i did have the advantage of a lawyer on the phone with me at the time) | wcjan26
22/1/2008 18:27 | chippy. in all seriousness, if you go to them with your complaint and an explanation of how much they have cost you (in writing to the CEO), they WILL settle with you for a portion of it if you are aggressive enough about what you're prepared to do. FT / IC etc. should clearly be mentioned | wcjan26
22/1/2008 18:15 | This morning I had a trade on which had a stop, the stop didnt get hit at the time and I had to phone them up. The trade at the stop had £80 profit. When eventually I got through I was told that they will look into it when they can, but couldnt guarentee anything ! The trade carried on for a few minutes by which time I was nearly £1000 under, what could I do, if I closed it they probably would have just took the money and said tough ! I then phoned again (obviously very stressed by this time) and I had to threaten to throw myself out of the window (which I felt like doing) if they didnt close the trade at my stop. They closed it immediately ! | chippy2
22/1/2008 17:58 | Actually ive had a profitable day but VERY stressful because of this Spread betting company. | chippy2
22/1/2008 17:26 | looks like he's had a bad day. | dontyo
22/1/2008 17:24 | Might be helpful if you said why | 1waving
22/1/2008 17:20 | What a nightmare ive had today with Caps, this happens too often and I wouldnt reccomend them to anybody who wants to trade properly for the reasons below. 1. Their platform is slow 2. Trades often get rejected if the market moves in the Spread betters favour by the time it takes to get filled. 3. Often trades get rejected then they apper a few minutes later 4. When the market moves fast they very often shut down even if you have a trade on 5. When this happens its virtually impossible to get through on the phone 6. They sometimes have a 4pts spread on the ftse but advertise 1pt 7. Adjusting stops often takes ages 8. If you have a stop on the trade often carries on until a dealer closes it 9. Stops are NOT guarenteed 10. | chippy2
22/1/2008 17:18 | PROBABLY THE WORST SPREAD BETTING COMPANY IN THE WORLD. VENT YOUR ANGER HERE. What a nightmare ive had today with Caps, this happens too often and I wouldnt reccomend them to anybody who wants to trade properly for the reasons below. 1. Their platform is slow 2. 08/1/2008 08:59 | Same bloody thing happened to me. But that DAX spiked on ALL the companies. 150 points up overnight. It was a global determination to close shorts right at the top. All derivative-based comapanies are profiting at our expense. After weeks of silly rises, they gave us a NASTY clonk on the head, for Xmas. | ben nevis
27/12/2007 10:03 | Capital Spreads Stopped out all dax positions this morning after an erroneous spike and refused to re credit | captain.
25/6/2007 20:10 | My Latest Java comes up every morning with a list of errors !! It mostly works OK though... apart from the "zooming" bug (see above). | ben nevis
13/6/2007 07:26 | GOOD news.... No muddled charts now !!! I have been suffering for months... But it's NOT a bug at Capitalspreads... sorry I have blamed them. Though they were VERY slow at making suggestions. It was my Java that had too little cache, also out of date. So whatever your computer, whatever your broker, any chart problems MAY be due to obsolete Java, or simply too little Java-cache (easily adjustable when you find the JAVA settings menu.) ( cache WAS 50 megabytes, now it has 1000 megs.) | ben nevis
11/6/2007 08:54 | Anybody finding the zoom icons (+) (-) seize up ?? I've discovered the reason for this bug... When you close down your latest chart, this seizes up the 'zoom' on all the other windows !! Just start up ANY chart, and then all charts are normal again. :) I never know if these bugs are due to Caps, or due to cs2.it-finance (whoever they are) | ben nevis
22/5/2007 08:40 | No-one ? my charts are jumbled again :-( | ben nevis |
