Ha, it was released around 24th April, share price was 203 that day

Yank, are you taking the p*ss? Elite is now over 10 years old, p2w is just a way to extend its dwindling life cycle.
They said 5 years ago they wouldn't, many things have changed since then including a new CEO (dont get me wrong Mr Watts has made his fair share of mistakes since taking over but seems to be learning from them), it might leave a bad taste for existing customers but they can't exactly start asking for refunds.
So yes, p2w is good for the company in this situation, not a game changer for Fdev but it should still have a positive affect on the books.

Certainly not the dooms day kinda news you're suggesting.

What do you actually want Yank? Are you advising people not to buy FDEV stock? Or products? Or do you just like telling people about your rather one-sided research? You have been on this crusade for 10 years on so many websites and under so many names but not said why you are actually doing this!

Is it because they fired you, or because Elite Dangerous was not offline? Really, what do you want?!

"SP has raised and held above since this was released."

Truth is share price has dropped 10% subsequent to that and other press reports of this backlash to Elite Dangerous going pay-to-win.

"Pay to win is good for the company"

If you really think that, you might want to ask yourself why FDEV promised it would not do this.

Clue. Take a look at FDEV's previous pay to win game. It flopped.

Wasn't this published a few weeks ago? share price has raised and held above since this was released. Pay to win is good for the company, existing customers don't need it, only serves to encourage new customers. Imo.

"Elite Dangerous goes PAY-2-WIN"

"Elite Dangerous accused of becoming pay-to-win with introduction of new ship"
hxxps://www.eurogamer.net/elite-dangerous-accused-of-becoming-pay-to-win-with-introduction-of-new-ship

"This week, Elite Dangerous - the multiplayer space sim from Frontier Developments - has been met with a spate of negative reviews on Steam, resulting in a recent average rating of 'Mixed'."

"Eurogamer has reached out for further comment on the addition of the Python Mk II, and Frontier's previous assurance ARX would not be used as a pay-to-win mechanic."

Katie Cousins of Shore Capital, the nice young lady who upgraded from Hold to Buy 'cos "The group appears on track for another record revenue-breaking year in FY23" ... days before the entirely forseeble profit warning that delivered the largest one-day crash in the history of FDEV's share price.

"Frontier share price plummets following F1 Manager 2022 flop"

Good luck on that one.

And what about Shore Capital, Yank?

Shore Capital analyst Katie Cousins, who raised her recommendation to Buy last month, said the latest sales and earnings guidance was above forecasts and the group’s focus on core titles together with cost savings ‘now indicates a much better exit run rate than originally expected’ with break-even EBITDA possible in the coming financial year.

Do pay attention. That "sell" note came from Deutsche Bank, not me.

amt "That post from Yank is a bit worrying. Hope all that is behind us"

This mismanagement will be behind us only when this management team is behind us. No sign of that happening soon, though.

The latest trading update on the 7th May showed anything but uncertainty imo.Yank's posts yesterday were old news and I hope those that sold off the back of them don't regret their decision in the future.Anyone who bought the dip yesterday are now in profit. Just waiting for the bull flag to break upwards now.

We know the company went through a massive and painful restructuring because of massive mismanagement and poor execution on previous games.

What is new?

The fact the best Yank can do is post an article that is a month old, that talks about stuff from way in the past, tells me there is nothing to worry about.

Yank, any views on F1 manager 2024? Thought so.

Quite old news, was trending like three to four months ago.

Near future (June&July) is:

-Planet Coaster 2 reveal at Summer Games Fest or alongside the next trading update
- F1 Manager 24 launch (very upbeat reviews and comments)
-Elite Dangerous important updates and new features

Sold out, can't take the risk.
Probably a bad decision but always best to bank profits when so much uncertainty
