You certainly put the hours in YH! 😂

Alas I think Lemonade has very good points but I do appreciate the thought and reasoning, rather than Yank the Offliner's 10 year vendetta 😉

I see simplywall st states "Flawless balance sheet and good value" which Yank missed though there are far more negatives you haven't listed yet YH!

"FDEV consensus EPS estimates fall, Now expected to report loss of -UK£0.025 instead of UK£0.044 per share profit in 2023."

Agreed about the fixing, Lemonade. FDEV ran the beta for "stability, performance and balance", meaning the product is way past possible fixing of its fundamental game mechanics.

"The warhammer game will 100% flop. Makes no sense why FDEV has acquiried this company." This new Warhammer game is not developed by the new Canadian acquisition. It's developed by FDEV staff seemingly stripped from other in-house games, likely Elite Dangerous seeing that's definitely where the lead designer came from. See here hxxps://www.rockpapershotgun.com/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-realms-of-ruins-story-campaign-will-have-plenty-of-meat-on-its-bones

As to the sense of this acquisition, let's hope it's more than on FDEV's previous Canadian studio, which was shuttered after three years of producing almost nothing.

I did games development in Uni and have worked as a software engineer for the past 10 years.

Open Beta's are just for bug fixes. You can't change core mechanics within this time.

The warhammer game will 100% flop. Makes no sense why FDEV has acquiried this company. Yank is right, they should have stuck to their management style games.

F1 Manager 2023 looks like people won't like it in the comments of the trailer, customers loyalty has been damaged and they won't buy it due to f1 22 debacle quite rightly.

You also can't change core mechanics or fix all the issues people had in just 1 year.

I could see FDEV losing the F1 license and the stock plummeting even more if f1 manager 23 underperforms like it could.

Cherry picking the negative?? Just see the (non-beta) discussion front page. Nine negatives v one positive. hxxps://steamcommunity.com/app/1844380/discussions/ .

YH. They've deleted before you could cherry pick the negative ones? You've let us all down, please try harder.

Well, FDEV has now deleted that and all the other beta feedback from Steam. Probably wise.

No. I'm not one of the "genuinely surprised how poor this is", given I know FDEV has zero experience of this game genre, setting or style.

Good to see Planet Zoo is still in the sales charts. That's the kind of game FDEV should stick to.

Warhammer game looks like another turkey.

Player feedback so far is around 80% negative e.g. "I was genuinely surprised with how poor this is. It really feels like a highschool project or an underbaked mobile game."

reviews are looking pretty mixed. The developers still have a lot to do before official release. hopefully they can sort it all out by then

Beta available today, anyone can try it, so make your own mind up.
I've given it a go but personally I can't see this doing particularly well.

It’s funny Yank - I spend my life practicing and focussing on something I really enjoy doing and you…. Seem to do the opposite 😆. Hope you’re ok. Keep a little time aside to do something positive. You might like it!

I didn't Google it. I read it in my news feed. Anyway, lets just read the live beta feedback.

Top post, pinned. "Unable to connect". FDEV: "Anyone receiving this connection error who has yet to raise a support request Thanks again for your patience whilst we look into this!"

Business as usual at FDEV.

The further comments are worth a read too. hxxps://steamcommunity.com/app/1844380/discussions/

YH - when you googled "Realms of Ruin beta review", you seem to have passed over the first 2 results, which said -

"As I have alluded to frequently here, this game is a delight to look at. The cutscenes look great, the units are dead ringers for their tabletop ..."

and

"Realms of Ruin feels tight and focused in the right ways, with brisk matches and a manageable scope that offers a satisfying amount of depth."

If they hadn't released open Beta you'd be jmping up and down saying they had something to hide and must have insider information that market should know etc etc!

Yank I seem to remember that the very positive 3 week old reviews for the last game on steam were "too early to tell", so I think you judging an open beta is pushing it 😂. Remind me what your investment is here?

Check the review headline.

"We went hands-on with Frontier's newest RTS game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, ahead of its open beta and, sadly, were left wanting."

Unless you are new here, you will know that FDEV's new playbook of good looks on top of shallow gameplay and a raft of technical defects is a good part of what has crashed its share price recently.

Just got up Yank? 😂

Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin looks beautiful and does a great job of bringing the player into its world. The environment feels familiar with a splash of unique fantasy, the character design is faithful to its tabletop counterparts, and voice lines faithfully portray the feeling of the setting.

See what happens when you cherry pick? 😉

FDEV has put the Warhammer game out for press preview BEFORE beta testing. Brave! The press are already commenting on the level of bugs.

But more seriously "it lacks the focus needed to make a memorable game and fails to live up to the standards" etc.

www.pcgamesn.com/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-realms-of-ruin/beta-preview

Perhaps FDEV can fix it up before release, hopefully without another postponement.
