They tossed more than planned for the oil plays and with the rebate should be okay for a little while. We'll see. Dino should be low hanging fruit and should yield decent revenues. If zaza kicks ud-2 into the long grass and pushes the oil plays a fair few may sell. We'll get news either way before the shareholder meeting. Good or bad, time will tell. Anyone look at wand as suggested?

If there is no bad news then this must be a strong buy.

The fact that FRR doesn't release bad news doesn't mean there isn't any!

There is a reason they have spent over $400M to date. Are drowning in debt, have 15 billion shares in issue and rising, have a death spiral finance, won't put out and update on UD2 and no doubt have run out of cash again.

@tickboo go back and look at the stream of RNSs. Simply put FRR don't release bad news. They just simply ignore it or play it down and move onto the next great hope. The reason there has been no update on UD2 isn't because its been cleaning up, they are in take over negotiations, they haven't managed to test all the zones, there is some technical problem which requires more time, they are waiting to update on the 25th.

The simple reason for no update is that they can't release a commercial flow rate. If they could they would.

Fortunately (so far) for the bulls the market is in such a jubilant state about everything the stock is holding up on the no-news is good news theory. You can bet your last penny though it won't if they are forced to admit UD2 is a dud.

I suspect as ever they will try to hide the UD2 news with the spud of Dino to keep the ever hopeful ermmm hopeful.


As for cash I'm pretty sure most of the recent money raised will have gone now. Strange also the cash amount of the court settlement was never stated. Looking at the creditor I doubt they'll recover much. Typically FRR burns about £6m/year so I guess we can be pretty sure the PB and previous money will be gone soon. I think we both can then work out why they are back in London.

Surely you'd have gone short at 0.58? Won't go much higher without good news. As far as the number of shares in issue we know there are more to be authorised so a strange point. More about the money spent and lack of production. Next RNS vital, ud-2 damp squib will mean a shorters paradise. Hopefully not though.

tickboo - i have no axe to grind here now, in fact i want the price higher as i want a good spike to sell into again, but i agree with log - i seriously doubt that Zaza or Nicandros really have anything much riding on this that hasn't already been 'covered' elsewhere.

I've had a hunch for a while though that gravity won't really kick in until YA are done and dusted.

I suspect Zaza has had many many more millions out of FRR than he has ever put in. To say his interests are aligned with shareholders is one of the most naive and stupid things I've heard said on a BB and it takes some beating.

On the subscription in the placing. It's the oldest trick in the book when a director puts in a lump of cash to support a placing.

Will you still be arguing he risked his cash if you later find out he took out a million in salary, bonus share options and expenses a year or so down the line? There are obviously many many other ways for those that control the company to remove cash.

In any case what Ave price did he pay for shares if you combine the 500k at below 0.1 and the 1m at 0.58?

Fair points log but the same can be said for some short saying Zaza didn't put the £1m in or implying it's not legit. Anyway, time will tell.

Also check out wand, it's gonna be massive. I've topped up recently (haven't) and will do so with every penny I acquire. I do hold a substantial holding there in all honesty and an update is due mid Jan. Could go up. Could go down.
