@kinwah.....totally agree the whole arcadia nightmare (I supply products to garment manufacturers with a near 100% Arcadia reliability) for me as my biz has pretty dried up last year.I would imagine his tennis shorts would be taking on a rather darker tone towards the browns.

Mrx you can't say Stephen Marks is obstinate and cantankerous. He is a lovely man and a very fine tennis player who will do his very best to get a good price for his shareholding and those annoying shareholders who turn up at AGMs and ask him questions which are none of their business. The collapse of Arcadia will have shaken him so I would rate it as a near certainty that he will take the best offer on the table and sell up.

I believe buyouts tend to take a while wouldn't be surprised if it took around a month. Also Stephen Marks is known for being cantankerous and obstinate which is why I believe Mike Ashley sold his holding. No doubt he has a figure in mind for what he wants, the question is, is that realistic; no doubt MA didn't think so.

Brokers are dropping the price, which in turn, is forcing the individual investors to sell so that they can fill up the large orders for the big dogs

Just sit tight and wait, I don't understand why people are panic selling. There are two companies looking to purchase French Connection and a few private investors buying up thousands of shares. It takes time to mull over offers and bids. Wait!

I’m not happy about the drifting, I wonder if they are struggling to agree on price, surely it’s not that hard to value, if people can value Arm in a short space of time then this should be no bother, I also hope it’s not because he won’t sell for the price they want to pay, I’ll make it easy for them if ones offering 40p and the other wants 50p then just do it at 45p and get on with it! Then let the real bidding commence.
