I’ll take a look in a bit thanks, I like Pmo because it’s merger is sorted and you know what you are getting, and since merger oil has rose another $25 a barrel with 250,000 barrels a day production I don’t think many have realised what’s the increase in profitability imho dyor

Sold some there in two lots and got 29.8 and slightly less. Other trades for minute quantities seem to be going through at 29.4. I thought the larger trades would have had the cheaper price offered.

I was excited when I saw that rns thought it was going to tell us about our bidder anyway Keep an eye on ye olde PMO premier oil, oil price going through $60 per barrel as we speak and press starting to get hold of it imho dyor

he’s to old he’s been trying to sell for a few years, wants to enjoy the pennies while he can, it’s no point being the richest man in the graveyard, that said he won’t give it away, they may give him a consultant job but think they will want all personally

Niggle I think buyer will fundamentally change the business, I think they will use the brand for royalties and that’s it, I can see all the stores closing personally which was were they were heading anyway, I think it could easily make £20m per year as a brand, that’s just the stark reality of the world, many shops are doomed, these had already started to realise the brand value, DFS is a prime example, the wholesale business is basically half way from retailing to royalties, but the real value is to come from new opportunities, think like Cadbury’s, no one understood why they paid nearly £12bn for it when it only made £500m a year, then you had yoghurts come out, hot chocolate, loads of new variations on the original chocolate

I reckon Mr Marks has done a deal to get rid of MA. He will then sell a portion to the bidders to give them control but retain a hefty stake (10%?).Remember he doesn't want to let go of the reigns so this sort of deal will suit him

Maybe because Burton, Wallis & DP sold for £25m, Debs £55m, so what price French Connection?

It's already £28m and the net assets are just that including the stock (what price in a fire sale?) and Right Of Use Asset (leases which they will want out of) plus it's losing £9m a year - It's anyone's guess what the real value of the business is and what the offers are.

Gone quiet here settled around 30p I think people are waiting for that rns which should come today hopefully before market closed, my next favourite holding for a takeout is GEMD, one third mcap in cash, approximately half its mcap in cash flow this year, restructuring complete and ahead of schedule, go read its trading statements and results, can’t believe someone like Anglo American have not already done it, disclaimer it may never happen, but it’s screaming too cheap at you all imho dyor

There you go, it's what makes a market, and top marks plus thumbs up for taking it on, if you want to say trade some then you can play the game.

I can’t see Mike Ashley selling out for less than he paid, he hasn’t yet done that and was willing to go all the way with Debenhams and lose £150m, here he only has £10m imho dyor

It's all down to what the bid will be . If it is 35p and we have tracked to 45p then all of a sudden you have lost profit. It's a complete 50/50 gamble from here......which is why some people will sell

You can sell but can’t buy online, they need stock, no doubt because they want people to sell at 31 as they have someone buying much higher imho dyor
