They posted on the twitters they are open from today and selling online.
Smaller stores are closed but big store are open if you click on more info in store locator page it tells you which ones are open and which ones are closed. I guess it make sense to open busy high st stores first hxxps://www.frenchconnection.com/store-locator.htm

Just be little patience with this one although currently spread is high to sell but if you bought at 5p-8p on good news I reckon this will move to 15p easy dyor

They have announced on Twitter that they intend to open their stores from the 15/06/2020.

Fantastic news. For a moment I thought they were going to remain closed.

With it now confirmed stores can open from the 15/06/2020 in the UK, I thought that may give a slight bounce in the share price.

Looking at the website they have not given any indication of the store's opening up. (Are they a bit slow on the uptake?)

French Connection tops list!

New research has found that French Connection has topped the list of the biggest discounters, along with Sir Philip Green’s Miss Selfridge.

Covering the two-week period from May 20 to June 2, online sales increased by 20 per cent year-on-year, with French Connection currently topping the list for the biggest discounts, followed by Miss Selfridge, data experts LovetheSales.com found.

Since stores were forced to shut due to the coronavirus pandemic in late March, retailers scurried to find ways to drive sales online.

French Connection has 90 per cent of all online clothing currently discounted.

The retailer is offering 25 per cent off its SS20 fashion, and new customers who sign up to its newsletter can get 10 per cent off full-price purchases.

The average discount on a French Connection Sale product is 52 per cent.

My City mates gave me early nods on SAGA and DLAR over the weekend, had to get in first thing there. They all said start buying Pubs & retailers, so although I own ASC, I took a few here @ 8.75p along with AB Foods

Anyone think big news is on the way?

Or is the little incline simply because there is an expectation that the shops will re-open next week?

As they said they only have enough cash to last a few months, I doubt Uncle Mike, a very shrewd businessman, is in any rush, unless he gets his terms.

Not an investment imo but I will watch from sidelines, used some cash today but only to add to my (ASC) position, that’s my no 1 retail play at the moment but do have smaller plans such as (DC.) (UPGS) & retail property play (HMSO) which is performing very well

Hi Guys, had a listen to your podcast. Nice session. Pete - what do you ultimately think of FCCN, any chance of a buyout . There have been some rumours going around that Mike Ashley once his Newcastle sale is completed, he will invest to further support his Frasers group.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a Twin Petes Investing Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion covers FCCN. We also talked in depth about the current situation in the Markets and how we reckon things could play out. Anyway, if you use Apple or Audioboom you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 23) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful,

Cheers, WD

Yeah 48p wishful thinking. Interested to know what others think of Mike Ashley coming to rescue FCCN before the cash dries up - plausible in these market/ economic conditions?

48p?

When have you ever seen a company acquired at that multiple of current share price in the history of the stock exchange? let alone a loss making business in a struggling field.

Rumours have it......around 48p per share.
