19/5/2020 12:52 | Market cap here £5.4m. Last years profit in wholesale? "The decline in overall wholesale sales and a softer margin resulted in a profitability decrease in underlying profit for the year to £13.2m (2019: £15.2m). Excluding the impact of IFRS 16, adjusted underlying wholesale profit was £11.7m (£15.2m)." | smicker

19/5/2020 09:56 | Some good buying since the statement. I assume that since they have no debt, that will be how they raise finance rather than an equity issue? | smicker
19/5/2020 09:51 | The initial share price drop was panic selling from the headline readers. If you read the full announcement it clearly states "French Connection said its online sales in the UK and the United States were up 44% over the last 6 weeks and it has started to see a small increase in activity in Europe as countries begin to open up". Not too sad. | daagolme2020

18/5/2020 11:53 | hxxps://www.retailga French Connection rejected a bid from former All Saints and USC chief executive Stephen Craig in partnership with two private equity firms back in January. The bid was initially placed on December 19 to acquire the shares in French Connection at 41.4p per share – a premium of 18 per cent on the share bid price at the time. Despite this, French Connection made the decision not to recommend the offer to the shareholders at a board meeting in January. The announcement of the rejection has to date been restricted under a non-disclosure agreement. lol | franki8

06/5/2020 10:27 | FC was great decades ago, so not an investment now imo, even though they alook cheap but I like Stephen Marks, he and the late Joseph, were proper retail entrepreneurs, certainly Marks lived a playboy lifestyle, liked the younger Ladies, I’m sure he met his last wife at a party at Josephs sumptuous villa at Cap Ferrat ..that divorce cost him £30M 😂 If Marks starts a new venture I could be tempted to invest, still after his house in Knightsbridge, he definitely got style and taste for the finer things. I will stick with ASOS, it’s the future, unless landlords undergo a complete reset lower on rents, the high street died t make sense for retailers until that happens. | ny boy
