26/2/2014 20:46 | So your daughter is representative of all people her age then? You see that's the problem with investing.People look at what they like or dislike.Or ask someone else who is of their target market. I remember having a discussion with someone just before HMV went into administration with him arguing that he only bought CDs and didn't download as 'he' preferred hard copies. He didn't see the wider picture that the consumer around him was changing and that they would choose to cherry pick off any album through download and choose the usual 2 or 3 good songs and therefore be able to buy more of the good stuff off albums. Blinded by his preferences he would not accept anyone else's opinion.Downloads killed HMV and although they have been resurrected from administration with no website in which to purchase from if I want a DVD and all those expensive high st rentals they will no doubt disappear once more. The point im making Longsight is that I am supposed to trust your daughter when I don't even know if she is representative of her peers. Infact how do I know you really do have a daughter and haven't just made it up to support your deramp. Im sorry but im going to look at facts such as the increased orders from wholesalers and increased sales in the UK and European stores as evidence to getting it right. This Nicole Fahri obsession and a complete lie is getting tedious. There was a revival after Nicole Fahri left. French Connection has invested heavily in marketing and new designers and even with that heavy investment has managed to keep the cash balances roughly the same and produce quite a significant turnaround. As you admit you haven't done much research.I'll help you.Try and read the last trading update. | she-ra
26/2/2014 20:32 | we'll see how it plays out. I emphasise that I have done no serious research on FC. So just a gut reaction. Has Marks done this revival number before. Of course but it was with Nicole F. I really need to look into FC further - in the meantime my comments are not a deramp but more a question mark for others to make the bull case. On the clothes, that is my view [reinforced by my daughter who is young & therefore into fashion] please ignore my views. I'm sure you guys will have put in some proper effort here & hopefully will make good money. | longsight
