30/8/2024 11:49 | You're probably right. Just like how Martin currie and their 15.7m share purchase of Foxtons set the price alight. 😀 | ivanborsky
30/8/2024 11:21 | Good attempt at a ramp Ivan. There's no way that BC Partners has 20% out of the blue. If they did, you'd expect the price to be rising and much bigger volume. | gargoyle2
30/8/2024 10:42 | Looks like that 20% holding of Foxtons by BC Capital has got people talking. Out last night with friends and general consensus was that a bid is most likely to come sooner now than later now the news is out there. It's probably why we've only seen 649 shares traded so far this morning and shorting funding rates in Foxtons shares now in double digits. Roll on this afternoon !! 😘 | ivanborsky
29/8/2024 16:19 | Just looking into BC Partners and they sold their last and final stake in Foxtons back in 2015 and now they have just over 62m shares or a shade over 20% of Foxtons if we ignore the 30m odd shares Foxtons have in their numerous reserves. Tomorrow could be fun ahead of everyone returning to their desks on Monday after the long holiday season. | ivanborsky
29/8/2024 07:34 | Oooh, looks like those posts on the other forum yesterday have touched a nerve, market makers not happy. Chance to pick up some cheap stock as long as it's no more than 15,000 shares !! 😆 | ivanborsky
28/8/2024 13:43 | You would have thought so but these hedge funds are unto a law to themselves and have a mantra say if they can make around £500m here and get fined £50m for late reporting of trades it's good business sense. Believe me I've been in stocks before where hedge funds have completely destroyed the value of a company with the ultimate end game of picking it up on the cheap, here's another one. | ivanborsky
28/8/2024 12:33 | BC cannot have amassed a 20% stake in FOXT without an RNS imo. This must be an old holding number in my view. They sold out in 2014 and my guess is that this is just a hangover from that. I hope I'm proved worng though. | gargoyle2
28/8/2024 11:19 | It can't be out of date, if anything it's right up to date by the looks of it, as it has the latest holdings by Converium and Platinum whom sold shares this Summer and has that 15.7m shares bought by Martin Currie announced just last week. Looks like the game play is well and truly on if you ask me !! | ivanborsky
28/8/2024 10:56 | Can that really be correct? There's been no holdings RNS from BC, and Sharepad shows the largest shareholder being 3G Capital with 9.46% (they last increased in November last year). Must be an out-of-date reference to BC imo. | gargoyle2
28/8/2024 10:36 | Wow, just wow !!! Just reading the other forum and BC Partners have over 20% of Foxtons !! So back for another bite of the cherry eh,it will cost them a bit more than £400m as it did back in 2007 but at least their timing is better this time round !!!! | ivanborsky
28/8/2024 09:04 | Nice. Throw in the fact that some homeowners that are currently sitting on huge Capital gains will be looking to cash in for fear of a huge tax bill come 1st November. Lettings booming again for Foxtons, all looking extremely good and could Foxtons smash all records ??? Looking likely to me 😉 | ivanborsky
28/8/2024 06:20 | From the FT today: Britain’s housing market is set for a busy autumn after the Bank of England cut interest rates this month for the first time since Covid-19 struck, with the number of homes listed for sale hitting a seven-year high. The stock of homes for sale in the UK was 14 per cent higher over the past month compared with the same time in 2023, according to analysis published by property website Zoopla on Wednesday. Tony Gambrill, regional sales director at Chestertons, said the estate agency was “seeing house-hunters who feel that market conditions have improved overall [with] lower interest and mortgage rates. This additional buyer confidence will result in demand remaining high well into the autumn." | gargoyle2
21/8/2024 14:24 | Stock slightly easier on just 80,000 odd shares traded so far today. A very 'quiet' August as I mentioned, so quiet in fact Martin Currie Asset management managed to pick up 15,700,000 shares without the market blinking an eyelid !!! Gotta help out your mates now again, keeps everyone happy ! 🤫 | ivanborsky

16/8/2024 18:27 | Yet more big late trades reported after hours today and not for the first time this month when it's supposed to be a ' quiet' month !! Sneaky sneaky MM's still up to their schoolboy antics 🤫 | ivanborsky
08/8/2024 09:17 | 50k director buy | mirabeau
02/8/2024 12:26 | I mentioned just a few days ago about how August has seen a bit of a drop in the Foxtons share price in the last two years circa 10%, well since early doors Tuesday morning when the stock hit 70p for yet the umpteenth time, it's fallen just shy of that in just three days no less !! And still no big sellers, the RNS this morning is desperate to say the least !! Will someone finally declare their hand this weekend for fear of missing out on Foxtons, we could be in for a very interesting afternoon !! | ivanborsky
02/8/2024 10:28 | Foxtons mini seen in Kent, letter from Foxtons through the door in Surrey looking for rental properties, 'centre of excellence for property management services' set up in the West Midlands -- no doubt imo that Gittens has his eyes on expension in affluent areas outside London. Still lots of growth to come here. | gargoyle2
01/8/2024 11:47 | Oooh,BOE cuts rates and in the last half an hour 50 trades all done via the order book to keep a lid on things here once again.Tighten the laces on those buying boots 🥾 | ivanborsky
01/8/2024 07:58 | Yank banks and hedge funds have manipulated the stock lower in the month of August for the last few years, down 4p last year and some 8p the year before. Time to add a few more over the next few weeks regardless of the BOE decision today.🤑 | ivanborsky
30/7/2024 10:07 | Saw a Foxtons mimi in Sevenoaks a week or two ago, so outside the M25. I wonder if they are finally looking to expand outside London. There are a couple of decent lettings-only estate agents in town -- maybe their next acquisition? | gargoyle2
30/7/2024 07:15 | "Looking good Louis!", "Feeling good Valentine ! " 🥰 | ivanborsky
