Possibly signed some more OEM partners in addition to TownNews.

NAB we will be on the Microsoft Azure stand AND also on a few OEM stands around the show so that should result in one of the biggest ever NAB exposure for our company.

UK Post houses to have a better partnership role with Blackbird becoming a profit centre for Post houses (my guess they will sell, admin, technical support all of which should help us scale better)

I guess we will find out more on results day and more at NAB in April.

I wouldn't put to much trust in the reported sales and purchases as everything is off market. How many sales and purchases are deferred notification?
Personally I would ban such Spanish practices; either it is a genuine transaction revealed at the time or it should be unenforceable. Then we would know where the money really is.

Given that before last year the North America revenue was about $100k - probably just immaterial or another dead end.

Still - interesting Veritone purchased them.

As for all the online editors purchased for hundreds of millions, I assume that all the goodwill has been written off on this.

Paradoxically, they might hinder FBT (once bitten twice shy).

Wazee Digital, based in Denver, Colorado, had net revenues of over $19 million.

Are revenues are about £400k or something and wazee was bought for $15 million...

There aren't 100 companies doing sports coverage with those sorts of clients.

Chris - it is a few £k more than the prior IMG deal.

To all intents and purposes it should be ignored when looking at new business needed to breakeven.

Next they will be RNS'ing an MSG renewal ffs.

I would have hoped that if we are the de facto standard and are being used for things like the Prem and CL - we would be asserting some pricing power with these people and upping our charges.

After this many years, IMG are likely to be pretty dependent upon FBT.

IMG is a leading global producer and distributor of sports media. Since it first became a customer of the Company in 2015, its relationship with Forbidden and Blackbird had already expanded before this new agreement. This agreement is Forbidden's first multi-year contract with IMG, worth a six-figure sum over the term.

Hopefully it'll cover IM's expenses. It does seem however that FBT will never get the revenue they require. All that talk and nonsense for very very little.

Agree with you, £85k (this year) maybe rising to £110k (next two) would sit nicely within revenue figures and RNS requirements

It's difficult to quantify this deal. But looking carefully at the wording of the RNS ("This agreement is Forbidden's first multi-year contract with IMG, worth a six-figure sum over the term. It is also material in the current financial year, as there are additional one-off Blackbird Edge upgrades")it is clear that over the 3 years it is worth £1M or more. But it is also said to material in 2019 which I think means it is more than 10% of turnover or 5% of net profit so at the very worst case it should bring in £65K this year based on last years turnover, which would leave £1M -£65K = £935K spread over 2020 and 2021. I would hope that 2019 was nearer £250K in fact plus the upgrade income.

"material in the current financial year" means that it's plus 85k for this year so that's good news regardless of timing (which is a bit stinky). Congratulations to the FBT team. Given IMG could buy any product whenever they want, and almost certainly have a whole team looking at R&D, surely the biggest news is that they've committed to 3 years. They don't see a blackbird replacement coming anytime soon.
