I wonder if FBt realise that RNS can be prepared beforehand and lodged with a time delay?

RNS's/blogs have tended to be on a Tuesday because FBT (apparently) do not work weekends!!

I'm going for week Thursday in the sweepstakes and £1.90m loss (more hope than anything) as a double header

I wonder what odds investors in FBT could get on the 3.30 pm at Cheltenham on Thursday next week? The race seems appropriate for our proven skills: "Sun Bets Stayers' Hurdle" though the day no longer looks auspicious given no RNS so far this morning.

A lot of If's and but's (with no intentional ramping):

If the CEO is true to his word (Sharesoc presentation) with regards.' lots of significance deals, short to medium term' then in April (6 months on) we 'should' start seeing lots of contract action.

We have a product that Scales very strongly, even rapidly and widely across the global video space if we breakthrough.

Hence it’s a binary stock.
Failure or Big time.

FBT needs risk averse investors at this time.
IMHO

We have a very strong team led by Ian

Hard nosed sales approach isn’t going to work our solution has to be what a highly sophisticated customer actually NEEDS.

Cloud is now fertile ground in the video space at long last and I suspect our sales pipeline built on demo’s test POC’s and talks should be encouraging.
But the potential customer will have to decide on the closure of the sale.

One key question to ask the company is what seems to be the hurdle to closing the deal with enterprise customers?

Totally agree, Ive no clue as to why anyone does anything (unless I personally know them) and therefore try not to second guess motives or pretend I do.

Thanks for posts re Eva and Clesh etc, disappointing but useful to know.

hxxps://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-white-a8349611/

I didn't interview him and as such he is a total unknown.

He may be leaving NBC becasue:

- the opportunity with FBT is amazing
- he is about to get fired
- he hates working at NBC
- FBT offered him substantially more money and a C Suite role

We don't know.

People were saying IM wouldn't join FBT if there wasn't some huge potential.

That was rubbish.

IM probably joined to be CEO of a UK listed company. I career highlight for him. He probably invested because he has money to invest.

Or then again, maybe something amazing will happen.....

ChrisCallen, Agreed he isn’t going to jack in his job to join FBT if he didn’t think there was a future there. Look at this guys history, something convinced him to make the move.

Stephen is currently Vice President Finance, UK and EMEA Emerging Markets at Comcast’s NBC Universal’s Networks Division and will start with the Company after serving his notice period. It is currently anticipated that Stephen will join the Board and commence his role in April 2019.

Stephen has 25 years experience in senior finance roles with media companies such as NBC Universal, BBC Worldwide (now known as BBC Studios), The Walt Disney Company and Jetix after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young. A further announcement, which will include the required disclosures under the AIM Rules for Companies for the appointment of a director to the board, will be made in due course.

If people really think a hard nosed COO/CFO is going to join FBT which has a history of underperformance (?failure except that they have survived) for 18 years because they believe they can turn it around are so naive they should invest in premium bonds (though they are effective for HR taxpayers). The new man must have been convinced that despite past history (not at all good) they were at the point of turning. That would mean very convincing evidence/future performance scenarios. I'm not carrying on as an investor because of the past but just like Nick I am focused on what is the potential. Unlike Nick I am not convinced the the current BoD are hard nosed enough to deliver what is actually there. They need an effective Chairman who will fire those who don't deliver. Performance wins big rewards failure opens the door marked Exit No Reward at al levels.

Results will have 3 months of town news

Given the underlying revenue is non-existent - that will make them look a massive improvement.

So we should get some FD options as well. Great.

CFO may decide to join because the company is not doing well hence they could attribute an upturn to their acumen.

Or any number of other reasons.

I guess they will try and hold back news to try and soften the results blow.

If the BoD follow last year's pattern Monday will see an RNS announcing the publication of the 2018 results on Thursday, March 14th. If nothing happens it will be for one of two reasons: the results are far worse than expected (unlikely as the new CFO/COO would not be joining as one thing he will have done is see the figures before making his decision) or they anticipate good news that could have sugared the pill but it has been delayed. In the latter case they would have to be very close to signing, days not weeks as delaying publication is sending signals of its own that are not generally well received.

That sounds more like a gamble trade hornblower!

Agree FBT is an avoid until post results clarity, could we see a re test of 4.5p on disappointing sales revenue ?

However a proper real deal and better revenue could take us to 12p

Who knows!

Thanks, keystudio,
For myself I feel profoundly grateful that I have no holding, but from a chart pov I would consider buying a few around 6.5p Mid with a 12p target.
That is purely on the chart. From fundamentals I would avid...sorry, avoid!

Having being unable to log on here for quite some while, I'm still here. Down approx 33% from buying during the upbeat moments of Aziz around 2017 that Jovana, Rich Energy + first paid EVA deal was just the start. All this was beautifully fueled by comments on "various discussion boards" that "there's hardly any stock left" or " I can't get a quote on more than "whatevever 10k shares blablabla"" Theres hardly any stock left, this share is tightly held (which it is). Remember, we're in here for the tech, or being bought out, forget any "annual growth in deferred sales". Heck, back in 2016 the greatest delusionalists were dreaming that our tech was going to be included in the next IOS update ;). Still in here though, would't post here otherwise.

Sickness
I doubt it will translate into sales directly from the show.

But imho we have to go and raise awareness of Blackbird and BVE is only a short journey from Wimbledon.

NAB Las Vegas in April is the big one.
Microsoft Azure stand so prime space for Cloud media applications and services😀 and all the most senior executives in the industry attend.
