There are now HRMC rules which prevent a company from buying another company and then utilising it's tax losses. Good scheme back in the day though ! In any event, the company are crystal clear that they will de-list on 11th March. *scratching head*

It's a very good point csm. I thought about that a while back but I don't think it is enough to garner interest from anyone. This share should be suspended.

Hang on guys you may all be missing something here, Macap 3m cash 2m but what’s the previous years tax losses? Can’t this be purchased by a profitable company then use its tax losses so it pays less tax? I’m sure I’ve heard of this before, not saying that’s what’s happening but not beyond realms of possibilities

I'm surprised by the volume of trades - not sure who would want these now?

My favourite comment was the daft sod on here who held onto a few shares so they could vote. Seemingly unaware their vote will be meaningless given such a small holding, all shareholders don't get an equal vote! Worse still, they're voting whether they want some money or no money.

Agreed. It’s no longer a company that’s trading. Only a shell with £2m valued at £3m. Madness.

Surely the shares should be suspended. It is criminal to allow any market in a company that no longer trades. Can anyone who follows these issues more closely tell me why these shares are still trading?

I'm gobsmacked some people still don't understand what many here have been rightly trying to explain for weeks. Flybe no longer exists as a trading entity. Market cap in 6 months will be 0, it won't exist. Its a real mystery that idiots are still trading what is now a shell with a tiny amount of cash in it. Morons.

The sale of its assets to Connect Airways means Flybe as a company is now a non-trading entity with no subsidiaries or material assets other than the cash received from the sale.

Shares still changing hands for 1.49p. What don't I understand here ???What you don't understand is that there are many people who can only be described as thick as f@&k...it's been in black and white for weeks and today couldn't be any clearer that the shares are worth 1p or zero pence.

The boss of Heathrow has come out in support of the Virgin Atlantic-led rescue of Britain's biggest regional airline Flybe as the airline completed the sale of its operating companies to the consortium. John Holland-Kaye believes a cut-price takeover by Connect Airways, which also includes Southend Airport owner Stobart and US private equity firm Cyrus Capital "could be a really positive move". - Telegraph

I wonder if Tinkler or Hosking partners sold any of their Flybe shares just after Mesa announced they were bidding for the company. Huge number of shares was traded on a proposal that was a no go from the start.

Run a company into the ground and keep your well-paid job and pick up a £1,000,000 bonus. This country is corrupt....but hey, that's business!
