The Finncap target price isn't worth the paper it's not written on. I've held Filtronic shares for 30 years and Finncap have always over stated the share price target. As I've said before, the share price won't pick up until they get a decent flow of orders.

Kaos do some proper research, speak to / meet management, look at the share register. The company has been in serious transition since the arrival of the new ceo and chairman ( ex mclaren ceo). You don't win £2.3m contracts in the satellite space unless you have something pretty special ....All imo dyor

kaos3, Filtronic is a microwave design house and they have niche skills and technology but they don't seem to have attracted any large contracts. They are like any number of small tech companies that seem to have a lot to offer but never make it on stage. They might go up a bit on the LEO contract but it will take a lot more to get them really moving.

what I do not understand is research - they must be up to date in highest tech in so many fields at so low revenue .... that I can not see how they will remain competitive in all of them

If you think that Filtronic is a likely take over target then you clearly are not acquainted with its history. What we have is the remains of what was a much larger company which went bust due to its over ambitious attempt to run the Newton Aycliffe Semi-conductor foundry which Fujitsu had dumped as being unprofitable. As a result most of the company was acquired by Teledyne. More recently Filtronic sold its antenna business which was the only hope they had of entering the 5G market for mass produced items. It is worth remembering that many investors were stung by sharp rise of the share price to 25p only to fall when the 5G contract it had announced had flopped. Since then the company has survived on small contracts for specialist projects. The recently reported LEO contract is a bit bigger but be cautious and don't ignore the profit warning they've just issued.

I was attracted to ftc because of all those smart buying few months ago....

they are more clever then I am so I keep looking and learning ...

and all the wars

but ....

I am waiting for the business momentuum do develop before I buy...
