Just reread the outlook for ftc and the management seem very confident that the order book is going to increase this yr, so they must be near to announcing some new customers with there orders

There is more than double the amount of shares today than there were in August 2013. You also need to add into all that the market was getting a bit giddy about Filtronic and totally forgot that its business is cyclical.

No, sorry I don’t. Mind you, I’m very happy to hold a good few FTC and remain patient. Eventually, the share price should react in a positive way. The opening statement within the annual results is extremely positive. Cheers!!

Thanks for your reply is it just sentiment then thats holding it back as you would think if we used 2013 share price it would should be mid 30s do you know of a similiar company so we can use it as comparison

chestnuts, good question.

The reality is that the share price is driven by the volume of shares being bought and sold, there is often a discrepancy in the perceived value of a company and its shares. A share is only worth what someone is willing to pay!

It looks as though FTC has a great turnaround story to tell and could be massively impacted by 5G tech.

I am trying to work out a forward price for FTC when you look back to 2013 the share price went upto 88p and when results came out in Aug the share price was 66p ish and they made £3.1m from a turn over of £40m so why are they a low of 13.25p with a turnover of £25m and a profit of around £1.5m why the discrepency

Any one know the answer
