If these double up then i will certainly be full sail!

With the publicity and marketing beginning for 5g, you would expect various fund managers and HNW investors looking to see how they can take advantage. The big players in this sector are well valued, however companies like FTC are still well under current peer multiples.

You can see 70p to a pound per share here without breaking sweat.

Investor's Corner: High, Tight Flag A Thing Of Beauty

Let's cut to the chase, shall we? What is your wildest midsummer's night stock dream?

Would it be grabbing shares of a stock just as it rockets past a proper buy point, then gains 100% or more in just a few months? Even after it has already doubled in price beforehand and just takes a short break afterward?

This dream does come true. The name is the high, tight flag pattern.

Once every few years or so, a stock comes along and moves so fast up in price that once you see it in action, you might think it's surreal. But it is real.

Techinvest has a review of results and comments on the huge 5G opportunities for the business. They've held from 03/16 @5.7p and are now reaping rewards.
We'll get on more radars as the mkt cap increases. Long way to go here imo.

Thanks bamboo, I was wondering if this was one you were watching. Might be good to set up your own thread when you have a few minutes so that people with a similar approach and interests can tip each other off. This looked exciting to me as soon as it started approaching 16p, clear long term resistance.

FILTRONIC PLC

AUDITED FULL YEAR RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MAY 2018

........Whilst progress has been made in diversifying our customer base our sales remain highly concentrated and are still exposed to fluctuations in demand due to the nature of our business and the significant size of projects we supply into.

.....same old same old,aint it.

Dec 2017 i bought ftc as i liked the chart pattern and went on holiday and then started to read what FTC did, and seen i had money n oil companies i have kept pace with EV news , at the time i didnt realise driveless vehicles will not happen with out 5G and at the time i thought 5G wouldnt happen for some yrs so i sold in the new yr and made a couple of grand, and i got overcome with other business but 2 months ago, I saw an article about 5G so I paid FTC a visit and loved the inverse head and shoulders on the chart and bought in big time, And the more you read about 5G and how filtronic is going to be a part of this. The more i like it and more other people like it.
Price wise i see these going up to around 36p short term

(article June 25 2018)

"Singaporean mobile carrier M1 has announced that it will be trialling 5G small cells in partnership with Nokia at the end of this year"

(Starhub)"..with the carrier signing a multi-year agreement with Nokia for the networking giant to continually upgrade its network using small cells, virtualised core and IP routing, and advanced radio access technologies."

I like the note that hpcg pointed out:

"the big gain for the likes of Verizon and Vodafone is the ability to win home broadband from copper providers - and pressure fibre. It isn't just a mobile phone contract anymore"

This will be a big new revenue stream for the mobile carriers and they will invest heavily to exploit it.

FTC have been making (and losing) money since the dot com boom and during, so I can't see where that line is coming from . They create a tangible product that is essential for many mobile communications products, which happens to be very cyclical. Hence the up and down history. As an investor in these of 18 years on and off, I can safely say I've not been more confident of a vertical share price for many many years, hence my top heavy investment. I very much doubt it is hot money in these. I'd say rather that the story of 5g is starting to be told and FTC look like they will be a big part of it.

Fact is, I have no idea! If it’s down to individual investors then clearly folk have far deeper pockets than I do!

Whatever the case, hope to see things continue upwardly!!

I am sure that you are right gerihatrick, recently there has been plenty of background news to get this moving.
But I don't agree with you bazworth. There has so far been no evidence of institutional buying, so one has to assume that so far the buying has been largely private investors. I can certainly own up to having done a fair chunk myself these past few weeks.

could the Sp rise have anything to do with all the news issued-Nokia ECB loan for 500m euros; their contract with T Mobile and Verizon; the projections on 5G roll out and hence the volume of antennaes required. Nokia manager bought a stack of shares and Techinvest bought Nokia in one of its portfolios-all clues methinks -and on which I made my decisions to buy
