03/8/2018 13:51 | BTW, portfolio looking a little healthier today - mainly due to a nice jump from FDEV and UKOG (been trading that baby for over a year - not for the faint hearted). | villarich
03/8/2018 13:49 | KWS is a niche business which is what I like about it. I first bought in at 1400 purely for a trade in its defined range. After reading more into it I liked what I read. I've bought and sold a few times now but have a core holding I'm leaving alone. Fortunately I'm in a decent profit now which means I can stick my trailing loss on and leave it. ZOO has had a good run recently - late 90s up to 160s but fallen back some. I was also tempted but invested elsewhere at the time. | villarich
03/8/2018 13:06 | Lol,talk about getting stabbed in the back don’t think christh will carry your rings at this rate, lol. | 123trev
03/8/2018 12:51 | Hi Villa, tbh had KWS on my watch list for a while but put off by their acquisition strategy for growth (difficult to keep a track of intrinsic value and growth). That said anywhere christh is is a big red flag!.Tempted to buy some ZOO today (just a spread bet long).DD | discodave4
03/8/2018 12:48 | Ps,I think my invite might get lost in the post! | 123trev
03/8/2018 12:46 | Lol,sogo,we’ll Shore capital can’t really get it to wrong this year can they! Probably the reason it hit it’s all time high last Friday but following year assumptions are far from Stella given the valuation here.I expect in the next few weeks steady falls and then bang a really big fall as the algos do their work and the institutions collect more of their cash Obviously.I see America being a tough nut to crack here and sales flat next year across the board but costs higher and margins squeezed.I also see villarich and disco Dave entering into a civil partnership and christh being there ring bearer and sogo being a flower boy, lol. | 123trev
03/8/2018 08:42 | Yeah he is and is ramping on there now. Might be time to sell! | villarich
03/8/2018 08:29 | VillaDid you say christh was also in KWS?Just read today's results, think no mention of organic growth is possibly the reason for the drop.DD | discodave4
03/8/2018 07:35 | Want 20% growth a year ? You don't have to pay 70x earnings to find it. Just buy DART shares up from 16p to 950p and trading on current year forecast of 10 !! Tiger | castleford tiger
02/8/2018 18:37 | Bid closed up again today so showing some strength. Thanks for earlier comments, my pf is taking a dive this week but it's still 30% up since April so not too fussed. TAP and FDEV letting me down at the mo.DD | discodave4
02/8/2018 16:06 | Shore Capital's Phil Carroll quoted on valuation as saying "Part of the issue is that market expectations have been and remain overly prudent." Shore Capital rates FEVR a hold and recently upgraded figures to: Adjusted pre-Tax Profit: £70.4m in 2018; £83.5m in 2019; £97.4m in 2020 EPS: 49.5p in 2018; 58.5p in 2019. Looks like market quite happy to pay 70x. I think this thread last had 55p post interims for 2018 EPS. | sogoesit
02/8/2018 13:09 | Thanks chaps.PF at its highest last week now taking a bashing. Am heavy oilers so that's why I guess but tech down too.DD | discodave4
02/8/2018 13:08 | TrevYou talk complete nonsense and are a waste of time.Bye bye and good luck.FilteredDD | discodave4
02/8/2018 12:40 | Oh well the girls are quiet it’s pub time. | 123trev
02/8/2018 11:04 | Wow you two are on fire, lol,be careful you might break the internet! I can picture Dave typing in the same thing as you guys but daves still hard at it,pmsl. | 123trev
02/8/2018 10:11 | DD: Summer doldrums, "sell in May" etc. sometimes it works, sometimes not (ie not consistent in last few years). Likely causes (I am guessing) therefore depends on your portfolio make-up: On international stocks: trade wars On UK focused stocks: interest rates (UK has been "undervalued" according to commentators for a few years now; possible cause Brexit so no particular recent change there) Currency: GBP weak (probably Brexit) Contrarily to yours my pf has been up week-on-week in last month so I can suggest: - non-UK interest rate sensitive stocks - focused growth recession proof stocks - USD earners (Non FAANG) Best | sogoesit
02/8/2018 09:52 | I also suspect we've been topping out for a while too. Brexit could be the catalyst for a turn in the credit cycle. | villarich |
