Unless you've missed something from the sentence, it is factually incorrect. You can measure a company's value on current, forward and backward PE. You can also use current, forward and backward PEG. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Remember this my fine friends and those I love! You can measure a companies worth by using a P/e on today’s metric or a forward looking peg ratio but the folks who invent and create the market only look at appetite and an awful lot of full bellies have been created here?

It might test £35 today and get to £35.30.

Likely to push to £36 next week.

(All in my view)

If I was going to trade it I'd have bought in around 1800. After the rise after results it seemed to bounce off there a few times.

I've got a long term holding there ccr so don't really have a TP. I'm happy to hold until the time is right to sell. Even though it's been on a great run, I still think there's 50% upside in the medium term.

Incidentally Trev, why are you here? At least Polaris has said he's short and given his justification. You don't want to have a debate and you have no declared position. You just seem to want attention, poor sap.

He does understand them though. He's admitted it's about estimating EPS growth and and the multiplier the market wants to pay. He also said PEG is useful. Sorry that you're not getting the same love Polaris is.

That's fine Trev, I would expect anything else from you. You are incapable of having a proper debate. You also seem to be unable to grasp the basic concepts of how to value a fast growing share. That's fine though, not everyone can. Best stick to your blue chippers like VOD where you can read the accounts and hope for 2% cap growth a year
