18/7/2024 12:51 | Oversimplification to assume Trump will be next US president and if he does become president that the war will end soon after. Even with Trump at the helm it doesn't work that way, that quickly or that simply. Yes it looks ever more likely that Trump will get in but still time for the tide to turn the other way. Russia now using old equipment from stockpiled parts - next year could see them run out of heavy equipment necessary to back up troop movements. They are now deploying the old WW2 T-54 tanks - what does thst say about their current situation. And Russian Black Sea fleet already basically gone - "functionally inactive" according to the UK Ministry of Defence. Russia's last warship now departed the Black Sea. All the rhetoric like a smokescreen to hide the truth. Putin desperate for peace talks as the longer the war goes on, the greater the chances of his being defeated as Russia basically runs out of the most basic parts to run their machinery - electrical components and even high quality ballbearings. Europe now even more solidly backing Ukraine with huge funding for the war whether you believe it a good thing or not. As for Ferrexpo, I admit I bought a few chunks (about 160000 shares) at 43p and 45p and should have sold out at the high of 62p but sold the lot at 55p as too risky to hold. I do think that they'll bounce back hugely as long as they survive the combined forces of the Russian invasion and Zelensky's govt. I'm all for a peace deal but only when Putin has been effectively destroyed, whatever that might mean. | ![]() bellbottom

16/7/2024 19:49 | Loganair you're now going to be called a Putin apologist. This war never needed to happen if it weren't for the yanks and that bozo Bojo who stuck his nose in when Zelensky had already agreed a peace deal. US just can't stop meddling in everyone else's business | ![]() thags
16/7/2024 19:37 | I understand Trumps initial position for peace is the Ukraine officially ceding Crimea and Donbas to Russia while Russia's position is Crimea, Donbas and the oblasts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson and that the Ukraine has written into its constitution Neutrality, no joining of NATO and no nuclear weapons ever to be based in the Ukraine. At the very minimum Russia will need to have a land link to Crimea and protect Crimea's water supply therefore in the end it seems to me reasonable to say Trump and Putin will settle on Russia keeping the Crimea, Donbas and the parts of Kherson to the East of the Dnipro river and Zaporizhzhia East of the Dnipro river and South of the city of Zaporizhzhia itself + Neutrality, no joining of NATO and no nuclear weapons ever to be based in the Ukraine. | ![]() loganair

09/7/2024 15:40 | What amazes me in America is that so many people still want to vote for the Democrats and even Biden, Biden still polls higher than any other possible Democrat candidate. The media mind you have a strong grip on the populace watching some of the news over there they have given up any pretext of being neutral. | ![]() pogue
09/7/2024 15:33 | Well youve seen that Democrats are voting against the "Election integrity bill" SAVE ACT: The SAVE Act will safeguard our elections by ensuring only American citizens vote in federal elections. Here’s what the legislation does: So, what does the bill do? Johnson explained in a thread on X/Twitter that the legislation requires state election officials to verify citizenship before providing voter registration forms, mandates proof of citizenship to register for federal elections, and accepts various documents to ease the registration process for citizens. It also gives states access to federal databases to remove noncitizens from voter rolls and confirms citizenship for those lacking proof. Additionally, it directs DHS to consider removal proceedings for noncitizens registered to vote and ensures naturalized citizens are notified of their voting rights. Who could oppose such commonsense legislation to protect our elections? The Democrats, of course. [ZH: House Democratic leadership is bringing out the big guns against a Republican bill set to be voted on next week that would require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections, Axios has learned. According to various tests conducted by MRC and Just the News, the online visibility of these sites in generic searches for the GOP’s 2024 bench is practically nil, and not significantly better for RFK Jr., Biden's primary challenge on the left. Google's search engine failed to produce even-handed results in multiple searches performed by MRC Free Speech America over the course of a week prior to today's Republican presidential primary debate. Researchers broadly searched for “presidential campaign websites” as well as two additional searches specifying the party affiliation of the candidates. When MRC searched for “republican presidential campaign websites,” only two candidates’ websites appeared on the first page in the search results — a Democrat candidate and a Republican who is polling at less than half a percent. -MRCAccording to various tests conducted by MRC and Just the News, the online visibility of these sites in generic searches for the GOP’s 2024 bench is practically nil, and not significantly better for RFK Jr., Biden's primary challenge on the left. 09/7/2024 11:30 | Pogue all these attacks are disgusting but it is simple logic to ask yourself who benefits more from these senseless attacks and it is not Putin. As an example remember the false flag on the Nordstream that they blamed on Russia. The quicker peace happens the better, the quicker Trump gets in the better. The election is only a few months away and I get a feeling people will be paying over 100p by then | ![]() stockhunters

08/7/2024 14:10 | Re missile attack I read a lot of online stuff re the war and one Ukrainian Telegram group shows freeze frames of the missile and identify it as an anti aircraft missile.
