Russia do not want the North West of Ukraine as this use to be part of the Polish/Lithuanian Commonwealth where around 90% of the population are not ethic Russian.

As if Russia will take all of Ukraine. 2 years in, two hundred thousand plus dead and they still haven't taken the 4 oblasts they said they wanted. It will cost them millions dead to take the whole of Ukraine and millions more soldiers to policy a population that hates them. Not going to happen.

I understand Trumps deal is to offer Russia Crimea and the Donbass while Kherson and Zaporizhzhia remains Ukrainian.

It seems to me this will not be acceptable to Russia as under the Russian constitution both Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts are now Russian territory.

It is disgusting the way NATO and the west seem to be allowing that murderous thug Putin to prevail in Ukraine and I can not see them ever giving emough weapons to Ukraine to enablen them to push the russians back - a tragedy for democracy and it just emboldens the other dictators such as China to invade Taiwan !
