20/9/2022 11:17 | next support level is about 130 and then 120 although charts have less relevance in this special situation . Market hates uncertainty I guess . | arja
20/9/2022 11:15 | after 140 , chart sujggests n | arja
20/9/2022 10:46 | TigerByTheTail Totally agree. Me too. Luckily smallish loss. Legal plays are a nightmare and its best to sit on sidlines till this is resolved. | ldrcvm
20/9/2022 10:38 | might be a smart move Tiger . The chart shows good support at 140 level and needs to hold that level . | arja
20/9/2022 10:16 | I'll get accused of deramping, I know, but (speaking as somebody who has done a lot of business in Ukraine and who has a fair amount of experience of Ukraine's court system) this RNS should be taken seriously. It's 40% of the company at stake, plus potentially compensation for 20 years of lost profits. The ruling will probably be overturned at Supreme Court level, but it's not certain, and corruption may well play a role. I sold on the news, of course, and took a loss, luckily a smallish one. IMO, no choice. Not looking to re-enter until this is resolved. | tigerbythetail
20/9/2022 10:03 | a pity that USA has not given Ukrainians better air defence systems to try to repel the rockets aimed at residential areas . The western countries have blood on their hands in a way | arja
20/9/2022 10:02 | book5 , hope you are right about the young Russian recruits and some might even be aware that Russian version of events on TV is far from the truth . Most mining stocks hit today | arja
20/9/2022 09:57 | Well, that RNS was unexpected. And not welcome. Ukraine's civil legal system has 3 layers (today's ruling was the second one), so FXPO will appeal the decision higher up. But this isn't good. | tigerbythetail
20/9/2022 09:55 | Putin gonna destroy all the power station in Ukraine over time I reckon. It's his way of punishing the Ukrainians for the land they grabbed back. | hamhamham1
20/9/2022 09:05 | Risks growing here Unexpected rns Let’s see | book5
20/9/2022 08:18 | Nothing ever changed even during this war its still theft of assets that are top of their agenda what a country unbelievable. But it's the normal way that they do business steal of companies. | wskill
18/9/2022 16:11 | Putin buys loyalty with money Less money less friends Since gas exports to Germany stopped its mountain of money is decreasing. Russians will fight more among themselves as Ukrainian army decimates them (nobody will like to be in the front line) and the Russian’s pile of money decreases. In the battle field these forced recruits may target their weapons towards their officers rather than to the Ukrainians soldiers. warning: extreme violence | book5
15/9/2022 09:14 | sadly he probably will and of course anyone who disagrees with the monster would be subject to one of Putin's contract killings as they are known as in Russia . | arja
15/9/2022 07:51 | Lodge, you are nuts to be all in here!!! Total gambler! | hamhamham1
15/9/2022 06:15 | If Putin is losing or loses, he will scorch earth on his way out likely. | hamhamham1
15/9/2022 05:28 | Told you... | hamhamham1
14/9/2022 19:15 | Well, catching up didn't take long as so many filtered. The Swiss withholding tax is unpleasant, can this be recovered in an ISA (I seem to remember not)? | epo001
14/9/2022 09:55 | NATO has no designs on Russian territory and is a defensive organisation . | arja
14/9/2022 09:43 | epo001, you talk nonsense about it being a NATO war against Russia as Putin ordered invasion of Ukraine which has a right to defend itself and who cares where they get weapons from ! | arja
14/9/2022 09:36 | Have no knowledge of FXPO but am interested in future prospects. Obviously the bear case is a Russian victory or a war that goes on for so long that their activities are curtailed. Any others? Have they lost market share? Has infrastructure been damaged or looted? The bull case is a Western victory (get real, this has long been a proxy NATO war against Russia held on Ukrainian soil); activities resume, rail-lines and ports are rebuilt, share price resumes and buying now gets you an insane dividend yield and almost certain share price growth. Offset against this fairy tale is a nation in need of reconstruction and with massive war debt who may not see FXPO as a priority. I personally want to see Russia pay total reparations: all rebuilding costs, all war costs and compensation for death or injury but that probably won't happen. Am going to skim posts from 9650 onwards (luckily I have many of the idiots on filter) but am grateful for any thoughts. Are you a shorter or a buyer? Why? | epo001
