For those who want to better understand the processes involved in iron ore production at Ferrexpo. A nice visual representation.

Key aspects for the near future is the increase in 67% fe pellets combined with a projected overall annual increase in iron ore pellets to 20 million tonnes.

We just need stability in Ukraine, no further Russian interference, possibly closer ties to the West and the ex CEO having charges dropped and its onwards and upwards.

I think there might be a big sell off at £5 but hey, I might be one of them!

Thags - I have asked the question of HL regarding ISA's.

I believe there is going to be some update to SWT possibly this year. A draft proposal was being considered by Swiss govt. I have no idea how it might affect us. I expect it will be just as complicated and lengthy a process, even if it is theoretically possible to make a claim.

Why is the tax withheld by Swiss authorities? Is the company registered there on something?

>>BB will that be the same for an ISA? >>

Not because of the rule on beneficial ownership, I would have thought. I've emailed AJ Bell to ask if they can offer advice on this.

Answering my own question re FTSE 250 divi yields, and FXPO only being 2nd place....

CNE at the top made a one-off special payment. So FXPO is the highest yielding FTSE 250 company (and FTSE 350) on an ongoing basis.

Just received this reiteration from Hargreaves Lansdown regarding a SIPP and SWT

"I can confirm that under HMRC rules and regulations it states you are unable to gain a benefit outside of the SIPP wrapper on a holding held within the SIPP.

Only the beneficial owner of the shares would be eligible to submit a reclaim, within the SIPP this would Hargreaves Lansdown but within other accounts this would be client. Hargreaves Lansdown is unable to confirm each individual clients tax status and is unable to action a bulk reclaim. Therefore following these rules you are unable to submit a withholding tax reclaim for holdings held within the SIPP wrapper.

Regrettably as a result of this holding these shares within a SIPP we do not offer a facility to reclaim withholding tax and are unable to provide you with supporting documentation regarding these dividend payments.

I hope this has been of assistance to you. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us."

>>I'm 95% sure having an ISA in the UK doesn't prevent this tax deduction.>>

It doesn't, no. The question is whether it's possible to reclaim the WHT if shares are held in ISAs.

Arcadian, I believe the rules are the same for ISA and trading accounts. We'll get 65% of the declared dividend, converted from USD to GBP.

So at today's exchange rate that's approx 18.5p per share.

The other 35% is paid to Swiss tax authorities by FXPO. I'm pretty sure having an ISA in the UK doesn't prevent this tax deduction.

Whilst we rightly wring our hands with glee at the gains today and the soon to be dividend payment, it is interesting to note the bigger picture in Ukraine and today's official statement by the combined G7 foreign ministers. A steadfast commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and condemnation of Russian aggression in relation to Crimea and Donbass. I imagine this has been made in light of Biden's recent statements to the same effect.

FXPO now at 384.4p to buy - big smiles all round I expect!
