20/10/2020 08:21 | Moody's rating 19/10/20 Obviously, I particularly like this statement: "More positively, despite its inherent exposure to the price volatility of iron ore and commodity cycle as well as some geographic and customer earnings concentration, Ferrexpo's business profile is underpinned by its competitive cost position, improving sales mix towards premium products and long-term relationships with creditworthy customers. Following material deleveraging achieved in the past four years thanks to sustained positive free cash flow generation, Ferrexpo exhibits low leverage and strong financial metrics for a B2 rating, as well as an adequate liquidity profile." 16/10/2020 08:57 | Hi Bozzy, I hope you are right. Another bit of Ukraine mining news - this mine about five hours drive south from Ferrexpo Poltava Mines. BB | bellbottom
15/10/2020 18:25 | Thanks again BB for sharing your research. I imagine more foreign companies operating in Ukraine is good news - reduces the overall risk. | bozzy_s
14/10/2020 22:07 | You should 'hold' the shares via a spreadbet. This way you get 90% of the divi amount (no withholding tax) and you get the divi the night before ex-div day (early!) | lodgeview
14/10/2020 20:27 | The witholding tax is the issue with this one. Anyone figured out how much you can reclaim and how to. Is it a ballache or waste of time. Anyone actually done it? | thags
14/10/2020 20:17 | While the rest of the world struggles China is booming and FXPO have been nimble and managed to switch some exports to them .. Am convinced this will become a 'TINA' stock because it consistently pays that extremely well-covered dividend. Those looking for sustainable yield will surely find their way here. | undervaluedassets
14/10/2020 12:21 | This taken from The Ukrainian Journal back in September: "Black Iron, a Canadian mining company, which is implementing a project to create a new iron ore plant in Kryvy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region), plans to introduce a two-stage selection of potential investors to achieve the most effective result. According to Black Iron's announcement, interest in the project from iron ore mining groups has increased significantly, given the sharp increase in iron ore prices, as well as China's plans to diversify its dependence on Australian raw materials. In particular, the project in Ukraine is of interest to parties that have already successfully passed due diligence, such as Glencore, and several new steel mills that have recently been in contact with the company." I wonder if our ex CEO is dipping his toes into this project? BB | bellbottom

14/10/2020 10:05 | Chinese imports unexpectedly entered recovery mode last month, rising rapidly as the country's post-Coronavirus convalescence increased domestic demand. "A jump in imports suggests that domestic investment spending remains strong" from today's Times | r9505571
12/10/2020 18:37 | Was there any reason for the sharp drop today? | thags

10/10/2020 08:19 | FWIW, this is from Wednesday: JPMORGAN RAISES FERREXPO PRICE TARGET TO 280 (240) PENCE - 'NEUTRAL' +++++++++++ I use to check on the price of 65% Fe fines. It's been offline during China's Golden Week, but it's now back. | zho
08/10/2020 08:41 | I wonder if Ukraine president Zelensky will secretly meet with the ex CEO in London, while he is on his official visit to the UK? BB | bellbottom

06/10/2020 16:32 | Dmytro Khoroshun: We continue to assess the immediate risks to Ferrexpo’s business from Zhevago’s legal problems as low. This is because we think Zhevago should be able to settle with the state his legal problems stemming from his failed bank. BB | bellbottom
06/10/2020 11:50 | Well Lodgeview, not 'livid' exactly but certainly disappointed. But given that I am here for the mid term to long term and not to make a short term killing, and still in profit (on paper at least) then I am not too bothered. As I have stated, look at the share price graphs of the last month for RIO/GLEN/BHP. They are not dissimilar to FXPO. There are other factors at play here. Hindsight a wonderful thing which might suggest turning all into cash for the foreseeable future. Strange times are leading to strange patterns of share price behaviour. Dividend due on Thursday but doesn't cover the recent drops. But mustn't grumble. I've still got you to cheer me up with your pearls of wisdom! BB | bellbottom |
