Blue Star up 40% today - what a shocking mistake it was to dispense with our Satoshipay stake for peanuts. Maybe the aim of FFWD is not to make money for the shareholders after all, but to buy stakes in companies run by the directors' mates?

Two links shared on the Intensity twitter feed: and

In the last message to me from Jim he also mentioned he would get Lorne to reply to me about the points I raised. Surprise surprise - NOTHING! Pretty reflective of the company really. It has some apparently great investee companies generating news on an almost daily, certainly monthly, basis and yet the fund cannot, or does not seem willing, to share this progress with its shareholders. Such a shame. The buzz around FFWD could be SOOOO much better if the PR was anywhere near decent.

OFF Topic but as FFWD is having a quiet day I know some of you are interested in BLU and Satochipay. Some interest at BLU which is up 10% on volume of 22 million.

The share price movement or lack of is rather strange. Every trade today is shown as a sell with all the most recent trades @11.8. I was just offered a Buy at 11.8 and a Sell @11.75. It looks to me as if we are mainly seeing Buys today but they are not shown as such. On the face of it 340000 shares have been sold but the share price has not changed.

So the Brexit negotiations could take at least two years and this merger could possibly take as long.

You have to put deadlines down so the lawyers tell us. Then they can be adjusted when everyone realises they were unrealistic in the first place !

In other words there is no point in putting proposed deadlines for completion on these types of mergers.:-)

Commercial deals very often over run their original timetables. I dont think there is cause for concern that they need a few more weeks to complete the deal. I do not share your concern about the use of the word "shortly". I know I keep banging on about it but FFWD dont control the timing and are reliant on others.

I guess it depends on your definition of " shortly " .
I know from experience that another month when trying to conclude a deal of this nature is " shortly " !

We appear to be getting mixed messages from FFWD and Lingo Media about the merger with Schoold. FFWD announced five days ago that the company expected the deal to be closed "shortly", but the wording of the Lingo Media news release suggests otherwise.

Is this rise more to do with the strength in Factom I wonder:

If Bitcoin and all the other crypto currencies continue their strength it may reflect well on FFWD. If only they would use the promotion to full effect!

Toronto, Canada, June 6, 2017 – Lingo Media Corporation (TSX-V: LM; OTCQB: LMDCF) (“Lingo Media” or the “Company”;), an EdTech company that is Changing the way the world learns English through innovative online and print-based technologies and solutions, is pleased to announce that the Company and Vested Finance, Inc., the developer and operator of the leading, mobile college marketplace app in the US, Schoold (“Schoold̶1;), have agreed to extend the term of their previously announced letter of intent (“LOI”) regarding a business combination between Lingo Media and Schoold (the “Transaction”) until June 30, 2017. The extension is required to provide sufficient time to complete the audited financial statements of Schoold, to complete due diligence by both parties, and for the negotiation of a final definitive agreement between the parties.

As disclosed in the press release of March 23, 2017, the parties are working towards finalizing a definitive agreement with respect to the Transaction, which is anticipated to be a merger of equals in which shareholders of each party will acquire 50% of the resulting entity. Upon completion and execution of a definitive transaction agreement, Lingo Media will issue a subsequent press release containing more specific details of the Transaction, including a private placement financing to be completed concurrently with the closing of the Transaction.

That would be nice neutronium! Perhaps someone knows the results are due soon and are anticipating good news? The lack of any guidance from FFWD on the matter is pretty poor to say the least. Anyway, let's hope they have been keeping us in suspense for good reason. I am sure the LSE board must be a hive of activity today? Certainly a rampers den on the whole!

Just a quick update: My winge to Jim and Lorne prompted a very brief and "to-the-point" message back from Jim saying "Nuuvera will be a good investment for FFWD". He also said he had passed on my concerns/points to Lorne. Whether I ever receive a reply from him is a whole new ball game but at least Jim took the time to reply. Wasn't much of a reply mind you, but he didn't seem too worried about the TW piece I asked him to comment on and I hope his comment about Nuuvera proves correct. Mind you he would hardly admit things were not going to plan if that were the case either, so read into it what you wish. Whether I will still be holding FFWD that far down the line is also something uncertain at this point.

Personally I think that FFWD needs to do well in the coming months if Jim wants to have credibility for his next book. Time has past since he wrote his last book and he needs to be proved right on that before he will be fully credible on his next idea.

I think Jim has been busy with other projects "Juvenescence: Investing in the Age of Longevity" is out on 24th July 2017.

Anyone pre-ordering it (Amazon £14.99) ?
