Iron ore prices rise to US$102.5/t despite rise in transaction fees on the Dalian Commodity Exchange
• Ongoing problems with Vale tailings dams in Brazil combined with strong demand for iron ore in China.
• While premium product iron ore prices came off from its new high yesterday, lower quality iron ore fines prices continued to rise.
• 62% fines hit an all-time high of $108.50/t on news that Vale could see further restrictions in Brazil. 58% fines traded at $91/t CFR Quingdao.
• The rise in exchange fees are reported to have hit steel rebar and other metals prices.

email today from IR:Hello.Ex-dates will be announced together with the dividend announcement. The nearest is planned at 8 August 2019, together with the release of H1 2019 financial results.

A div of $0.13 was declared at end of May last year, XD 7 June Pay 22 June.

That would tie in with their own financial calendar re. results:



Last year results were 9th August and dividend declared then for ex-div of a week later (16th Aug and paid 6th Sept)

Any idea why share price has been declining for about a month? It looks like the drop started before Trump restarted the tariff/trade war conversions.

US-china trade spat? I believe Trump had another rant, which was partly behind FTSE drop.
