Unfortunately that support didn't hold and the trend is now broken. Perhaps just temporary relating to the dividend. Are we due any news to restore confidence? Would be nice to see directors buying or even a buy back program.

StockMarketWire.com - JP Morgan Cazenove today reaffirms its underweight investment rating on Evraz Plc [LON:EVR] and raised its price target to 515p (from 450p).

Yes, the yield gets bigger as price falls but the dividend (although in line with company policy as outlined in results) actually represents a cut. Last year, without the specials the dividend declared in August 2018 and the the one declared in February 2019 were for $0.40 each - so effectively we are down over 10%. We also had a fall in earnings.

Can't find the xd record date anywhere, including co website, but would be very surprised if it was on a Friday. Agree with Eddie that I would expect it to be next Thursday, based on last year.

iron ore prices dropped 8% on thursday, trump trade war issues. Rio is getting hammered. I think that is the main reason.

More likely due to falling Iron ore prices rio is off 3.6% today
