04/12/2006 08:03 | Well sold out at a nasty loss.Bio techs are always risky. They still have some promising compound applications so its not over yet.imho | pineapple1
04/12/2006 07:40 | Sorry to hear the news - just thanking my lucky stars i sold out a few months back | stegrego
04/12/2006 07:40 | Well the news today is crucifixtion.......t | pineapple1
01/12/2006 17:44 | underpinning the rise , good. Golden Cross maybe forming? | mr.oz
01/12/2006 16:04 | Another inst increasing their stake. They all seem keen to buy ahead of the trial results.I wonder why? | acumen
01/12/2006 14:23 | Can't be much longer now.Only 3 full weeks 'til Christmas. On the basis that directors can't deal within 6 weeks of price sensitive announcements that would give the all clear for Dec 6th or after. Spread very tight at present.Looks like it'll move sharply one way or the other fairly soon. | acumen
26/11/2006 15:18 | Mr Oz, Papa Lazaroo has started a new thread with the charts in place so lets use that one. EVC tipped in Sunday Telegraph today confirming phII hayfever results are imminent so fingers crossed. | golden lane
26/11/2006 13:24 | Here is the Telegraph tip - they have tipped it four times in the last 12 months or so: Take a look at Evolutec (133.5p). The small biotechnology company is developing novel products for the treatment of allergic, inflammatory and auto-immune diseases based on the saliva of tics. Unlike many biotech companies, Evolutec has one proven programme so far – rEV131 for hayfever. The market opportunity is large; the World Health Organisation estimates more than 153m people are affected globally. The current mainstay of treatment, steroids, have major drawbacks and sufferers and regulators are looking for an alternative. Evolutec's phase II trial for the product is expected to deliver results before the end of the year. Investors are also expecting further news on clinical results for three new diseases, including inflammation following cataract surgery. Admittedly, our track record with Evolutec is not great. We first advised readers to buy in March 2005 when the shares stood at 175p. But we remain supportive of the company. Investing in biotech is always risky but the allergy market is worth $11bn (£5.7bn) a year and Evolutec is targeting a slice of that. More newsflow should also help underpin the shares. Keep buying. | jonfa
26/11/2006 12:53 | Tipped in todays Telegraph. | acumen
26/11/2006 08:05 | EVC would make a very good synergy with the new vectura/innovata combination, vectura bought innovata last week for about 130m, creating an inhaler technology/respirato I would like to see a higher take out price if the trials are successful as seems likely. | drsmessguide
25/11/2006 13:26 | It does seem quiet. I'd rather expected to see the price tick up ahead of the trial results which can only be a couple of weeks away. I was going to add to my holding when the price started moving but now I might buy some more anyway. The share price could jump over £2 on positive results imho. | golden lane
23/11/2006 14:41 | All very quiet here.....lull before the storm maybe? Pleased to see AXA increasing their holdings. | acumen
18/11/2006 10:37 | GL - see you still not got the charts up and running All you need to do actually is click the word "edit" next to your name on the first post - and you get options to edit your first post - and also you get options to "tick" boxes for what ADVFN can provide for the heading...... So tick "charts" , "long term chart" , "news" , perhaps - then click the "update" button You could also add this to your test: for folks to use as a quick link to their website I added this week to my holding BTW | mr.oz
16/11/2006 13:32 | Yes.Positive article in todays Shares mag also. There is a meeting of the American College of Allergy,Asthma and Immunology this week EVC is expected to draw investors interest. Article hints that EVC will secure lucrative licensing deals if the next set of results are as good as is expected. These deals would advance product to PIII trials. Goes on to mention Bridgewell have a 200p fair value price today. However the analyst is quoted as saying a potential licensing deal could act as a catalyst for significant hikes in future. Definitely some very interesting weeks ahead.I'm far happier holding than sitting on the sidelines. | acumen
16/11/2006 13:08 | Nice rns this morning. So, lots of clinical results due both before and just after Christmas. Should be very interesting. | spiv 1
15/11/2006 15:09 | perhaps our seller is cleared.Chart starting to turn up and looks a little better now.But we shall have to see what happens. | pineapple1
15/11/2006 11:49 | Just picked up 4000 T20. Lets hope the trial results are good. As you say, the director buying a few weeks ago would imply they know they are. 150p plus on results?? | spiv 1
15/11/2006 11:28 | hmmm...i saw something like this last time.A load of big trades came thru (sells apparantly but obviously not),and the next day an RNS came out which caused the price to shoot off upwards. | pineapple1
14/11/2006 17:38 | Wanted to put some cash into another biotech innovata IOV which has turned itself around this year from loss making to churning out cash with prospects of a steady rise in profits IMHO | drsmessguide
14/11/2006 14:26 | Drs Anticipating bad news or just pruning? | acumen
14/11/2006 14:13 | Golden I think there is a buyer about I managed to sell about 10k in two tranches online, normal NMS 1000. | drsmessguide
13/11/2006 22:32 | There was more small volume today but the share price didnt move, which isnt a good sign as it backs up pineapple1's premise that theres loose stock around. This company seems to take one step forward and two back - the recent director share buys were followed by free matched shares. I dont think that really aligns the directors with the rest of us as effectively they get to buy the stock half price. My guess is the shares will start to move any day now. When they do I'll buy some more as theres every chance of a positive result by early Dec at the latest followed by a licensing deal or take out early next year. | golden lane
13/11/2006 11:03 | With trial results due in next 6 weeks there will undoubtedly be a great deal more interest shortly.Positive results could easily provide a 50% leap in the share price With the successful placing and recent director buying you have to be hopeful of good results. The question for investors is do you take the chance of buying/adding more now in hope of good results or wait and see what comes and possibly end up paying a lot more? | acumen
12/11/2006 10:25 | The buyers in the recent placing will probably sit tight as they must have bought the stock on the basis of the (hopefully) positive news on the way in the next two or three weeks with the hay fever trial results, which could transform the share price | golden lane |
