14/12/2005 23:52 | Yes CEG hit the market tomorrow. We should see another rise even though it's quiet this time of year. | encarter
14/12/2005 16:34 | Nice rise, any ideas why anyone. | daveelectec
14/12/2005 09:17 | Maybe they havnt cashed your cheque because you have not been successful in aquiring any loan notes,or your cheque has got lost in the post. | dreadeddalek
14/12/2005 08:44 | I don`t think the CEG loan notes are proving very popular. The offer closes today. They only needed £800k and it would have closed earlier on full subscription. They have still not presented my cheque. Perhaps they are going to extend the offer. | tyranosaurus
14/12/2005 08:32 | Thats because they are still selling this stock and there are no buyers to take up the shares. The 40k seller(200k) is still very much in the picture and those that are just stupid like the trade just gone through where evo are after stock and gullible fools are all too eager to oblige the stock wont go anywhere until some buyers appear...Anyone with a magic wand! | dreadeddalek
13/12/2005 09:54 | China Education will be up and away on Thursday ..Hold On To Your Hats.! | dreadeddalek
08/12/2005 22:40 | Timely, I must admit, that went unnoticed by me..looks good though surely. I continue to hold. | davehome
08/12/2005 20:25 | Good to see LDC raising their stake to 5% ahead of next weeks flotation of CEG. All bodes well for the future imho. | timely
06/12/2005 18:56 | I`d like to know how it`s going as I sent off my cheque for the loan notes and it`s not been cashed yet. | tyranosaurus
06/12/2005 17:09 | yipeee, in the money already ! nice rise ... | davehome
06/12/2005 13:58 | Ref post 262 -didnt guess the bottom and funds now commited elsewhere -cant win them all i suppose . | abubryn
06/12/2005 11:47 | Anyone know how the placing/offer is going? | overeager
30/11/2005 22:28 | Your're forgetting CEG though. | encarter
29/11/2005 17:01 | It is quite common for a consolidated share to loose value after the fact because of the roll up of the spreads .Once the dust settles they usually rise rapidly .I am not in these at present but have been watching for several months .I am trying to guess the bottom which could be just above 4 p.Be lucky. | abubryn
29/11/2005 13:32 | I think that a few people are selling EPE to raise funds to buy CEG when they come to the Ofex market next month. That will give 100% exposure to China and 100% of any share price increases. Sticking with EPE could mean seeing a bigger and bigger discount to net assets. Just a thought. | tyranosaurus
28/11/2005 09:52 | oopps down again just how are these directors going to rally the share price Not doing a very good job of it are they. They might do better if they got a buyer for the sellers shares who has dogged this now for months on end.! | rbonnier
27/11/2005 12:02 | The loan notes seem to be convertible at the expected Ofex opening price of the shares (33.25p valuing CEG at £17m). I am trying to see the logic for buying the loan notes instead of buying the shares on opening. The loan notes pay 7% but I`m sure the shares will pay dividends. The loan notes should give a better return. The shares may open at a premium and there may not be many available. There is also the costs and spread. The loan notes are being traded on Ofex but there may be only a few trades and the spread may be the killer. One may be forced to hold for the full 5 years or accept a paltry price. I think on balance I will apply for a few Loan Notes. | tyranosaurus
26/11/2005 21:35 | help me out here. they are not proposing to raise any cash through share issue, only thru convertible loan notes. therefore when the shares come to ofex, the directors etc/current holders will need to sell to create a market, .... no? this could create v limited liquidity position that could cause the shares to rise or fall very quickly.... I dont get it?? But having read the docs quickly I may have missed something. Anybody help out?? | pljohnson
25/11/2005 18:40 | closes 12.12 | pljohnson
25/11/2005 09:02 | encarter, I completely agree. The thing is, I always like to do my sums on a very conservative basis and if I still like the look of it I invest. | overeager
24/11/2005 23:02 | dell314, very busy myself at the moment hence the invitation to highlight any negatives for me, before i invest further. I'm not concerned about the warrants and convertibles as it would be foolish of holders to make them an issue at this early stage unless the share price went silly. overeager, they have 8000 students now but this years £2.4m profit came from just 5000 students. They will have 4 times as many by 2007 but expences won't increase by 4 times because cetain overheads will remain the same. Income should be around £12m with costs still well under £2m and EPE will get 14% of profit. Education is big business in China and EPE are a good vehicle for investment. Put "education in China" in Google and do some research. | encarter
