27/11/2017 12:11 | SHell are no more in Ireland. They pulled the plug and once the Vermillion Canada Pension deal is verified they will be gone. They made the decision to leave some time ago. Prior to that it is pretty clear they elected to spend no more on exploration. Hence their last well was drilled in 2010 in a licence area we now own. The status of that well up until recently was 'tight' - not in the public domain. Why would anybody keep the status of a well 'tight' if it was an out and out duster and would have little or no effect on the share price of the participating companies? If 18/20-7 was the last well exploration well to be drilled and it was a duster then why would SHell carry out a seabed survey around the drill site the following year? So what if it wasn't a duster after all and actually they did find gas BUT! Shell decided to exit Ireland and reduce capex at the same time. SO no follow up appraisal well, no CPR released of what they found. Licence relinquished and along comes EOG and picks it up. Meanwhile Vermillion manage to persuade a local pension fund to buy SHell out of Corrib. Both parties now will be keen to extend the life of Corrib. Does that make sense? EOG could now be sitting not on a P&A Exploration well but a Gas Discovery well! How much would it normally cost to get to that stage - way past our Mcap. A discovery close to subsea production infratructure as well! | jusmasel99
27/11/2017 09:02 | Planning approval is difficult area. There isn't such a person as a perfect expert on planning because in the end it involves people, and people can be sensible, stupid, selfish, active etc.. I was speaking to a guy this weekend and his tennis club applied for planning for new floodlights - none of the neighbours complained, but a planning officer said that a neighbour's frosted glass toilet window may be lit up a bit by the lights and referred the application back to the club. I would think many of us have many examples of planning applications - unless I have more specific information, I would not join in a criticism of these oil exploration companies and their directors as a result of planning problems. | gclark
26/11/2017 13:40 | The definition of a long term holder is usually a short term trade gone wrong , that's me for my 1 mill soon as I can get some traction on the price I'm sure I can find something a bit more exciting. Curry so you reckon vote no on resolutions 3-7? The management do seem a bit clueless especially if they had much input to either of the planning applications. | thetoonarmy2
26/11/2017 11:43 | One piece of the puzzle/conundrum missing .. perhaps only conjecture can tie it all together .. | jusmasel99

26/11/2017 08:12 | I have always had a feeling in my water that EOG was a remarkably lucky company in many respects. Some of you may disagree about that but I have been researching something over the weekend and it looks as if I can back up my feelings with facts. More to follow ... | jusmasel99
24/11/2017 19:38 | Every time I think the share price is about to plop and I think about bailing up she pops. | ducatiman
24/11/2017 09:38 | Mrphil, quite right on two of those, big holder, and sell/buy some on occasion.. however, nothing I say here will make a ha'pence of difference, IMO I just feel the directors are out of their depth on these planning issues, and either need some serious help, perhaps strengthen the board, or move on. Planning issues are not going away, even if we get through Holmwood/Wressle, the planners, tree huggers, environment agency, etc etc are going to be on our backs all the way! I took a big chunk in the placing at 6p, so am well underwater... not very chuffed about that! | currypasty
24/11/2017 09:29 | Essentially we are all traders - just on differing time lines! Cheers CP - I'll check my nominee account and see if they've forwarded me this e mail - probably have - I only read my buy sell notes, which up until recently was very rare as simply dont have time or make effort to manage portfolio - although recent sqz purchases were somewhat fortuitous!! | dunderheed

24/11/2017 09:25 | CP is a trader with a big holding here he’s simply using that to manage the share price to his gains until news breaks, good luck to the fella I say..... | mrphiljones

23/11/2017 16:45 | herm, yes saw that.. I must admit I bailed and took the hit, but who knows, its worth a punt again at some level I wonder how our Irish Atlantic involvement is progressing? | currypasty
23/11/2017 16:28 | Curry, O/T but did you see Jimmy over at PVR III thread has gone all bullish on Barryroe after being extremely bearish for yonks? The reprocessing of seismics is proving invlauable he says. This is of course in conjunction with John O'Sullivan,Chief Geologist. | hermana3
23/11/2017 16:09 | Picked a few ANGS up in the placing, where there are plenty of fools, there is money to be made. All quiet here.. boring infact.. Lets hope we are due to be heard at the December meeting... time is running out. If we end up down the 'appeal' route, it will take ages. Time for Hugh to accept he is way out of his depth with all this planning malarkey, and get some professional help on board.. or move over? | currypasty
23/11/2017 10:41 | That is a difficult one .. the existence of the webcast gives it a sense of permanence in that it can be accessed for eons by the public - however as it does not appear in the minutes it could be said to be slander although I am not suggesting that it is either for legal reasons. Slander is far too difficult to prove anyway and they would not be able to introduce the webcast as evidence because then it would a libel! if you get my drift. Basically what I am saying is that Barton G will surely make nothing of it other than a formal complaint. | jusmasel99
23/11/2017 10:00 | isnt that libel, or slander ? | currypasty
23/11/2017 09:55 | Criticism of Europa and Barton Wilmore by Councillor Tim Hall | currypasty |
