Update about the Judicial Review

Following a meeting with our barrister a few weeks ago, we submitted our Pre-Application Protocol Letter to Surrey County Council, informing them of our intention to take their planning decision on the fencing application to Judicial Review. Surrey County Council then had to respond to that letter.

Once in receipt of their response, we were able to have a final think through of our case to get our thoughts in order before a conference call with our barrister on Thursday morning. After a very productive call, and a final discussion amongst ourselves, we gave our barrister the go ahead on Thursday morning that we wanted to proceed with the Judicial Review. Our extremely dedicated and hard-working barrister then spent Thursday afternoon drafting our Statement of Facts and Grounds, a document which essentially outlines our case.

On Friday, after the LHAG team had reviewed the first draft of that Statement, our barrister finalised it. One of the LHAG committee members then had the unenviable job of trekking into London to sign the Statement and hang around the Court to file it.

It is not a straightforward process! However, it is now done and it is over to Surrey County Council to submit their response. After that, we wait for the Judge to make a decision as to whether to grant permission for the Judicial Review. Watch this space! But in the meantime, from all of us at LHAG, may we wish you an enjoyable Christmas break and a happy New Year. And we thank you as always for your continued support. We couldn’t do this without you.

Look at it through a wider lens. Its going to be a ukog tag along. Or if you prefer, a Klingon! :))

Well they had fair priced options before then when it looked like their ineptitude wasn't going to 'reward' them then they issued some more cut price ones it seems because of the G&A cuts they made?!
These were made at very difficult time in the industry and simply, if their business model wasnt working and they had to take cuts to reflect this, I am still bemused to understand why there were issued?

"For a Purchase Price of GBP750,000, the Company will receive Warwick's 10% working interest in the Licence"

probably fair value considering we are still in limbo land!

unfortunately, they didn't pay much for the extra %, which ukog punters are now using to value their company.. and its a lot lower

How does that work? Over a million more buys than sells today and its down?. Anybody would think the mm's took it down because they knew they had those two huge buys waiting in the wings and wanted to panic people into selling. About time they were regulated properly - spreads are getting wider, buy and sell quantities don't seem to matter at all, etc., etc.,. rant over.

A 7.5t vehicle is quite large but is not classed as HGV. Understandable mistake to make, lol.

you are quite right, the quote is from drill or drop.. im just the messenger

I guess drill or drop wouldn't want facts to get in the way of a story?

Curry, the vehicle involved would have been a 3.5t or 7.5t both of which are non hgv.

What do you mean Curry - look at the 'cheap' G&A costs for EOG!!
He and the 'rest' are great 'value' and hence their tenure should not be questioned for one second!

not looking good for Hugh

"Planning breach?

Jenny, who was taking part in the lock-on, told DrillOrDrop earlier that the protesters took action because they believed a delivery would be made today. This morning, portaloos and a caravan were moved off the site and there were no welfare facilities for the remaining security staff.

The campaigners believed the site operator, Europa did not yet have planning permission to bring in heavy goods vehicles like the one attempting today’s delivery."

Another example of total lack of drive from Hugh and his team. Surely, he has answers to deferral reasons 1, 2 and 3 and regarding the informative he just needs to book a room in Coldharbour, invite all interested parties, listen to their absurd claims and tick the box. That’s all it is, a tick boxing exercise to say consultation has taken place with all parties, because as we most surely know, LHAG are not interested in resolution or compromise, they have one objective, which is to prevent drilling at all costs. The sooner Hugh realises that, grows some balls and fights fire with fire, the better. Not sure he has it in him though!

The next RNS should say “due to my total lack of drive and capability, Holmwood exploratory drill is pushed back to Q2, unless of course I fail again” As I said, not a hope in hell.

Not a helpful comment, I know, but there's one thing that doesn't change and that's the rate of progress here.
