£20k is a bit much compared to other director buys imo. Maybe just someone been waiting and watching and couldn't see the point of waiting any longer, thinking this must be the bottom?

Brent still looking strong and up 20% since the recent dip. Currently trading at $89 a barrel.

Interims should be soon, hopefully including a detailed update on all projects

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised. Thought that with the selling that's been going on they were going to be down. Can't really see why anybody is selling at this price with the potential on offer, any one of their several projects could see a real up turn in the share price imo. Even Cloughton looks to be a potential little gem (after all these years).

UJO starting to move up after decent NSTA oil figures for January, ie 600+ bopd, presumably still in 'testing . evaluation' mode

Perhaps there will be (should be) an update on Wressle, after the planning application was finally submitted by Heyco (egdon)

The proposals include:

Extension of the existing site by an area of 0.67ha, increasing the current site of 1.85ha by 36%.
Construction of three well cellars
Back-to-back drilling of two lateral boreholes – the additional cellar may be used to drill a future water injection well
Upgraded production facilities, including fluid storage tanks, separator system, surface pump, associated bunds
New gas processing equipment
600m underground gas pipeline to link Wressle to the national gas grid
The application said it would not use high volume hydraulic fracturing.

But it does refer to a proppant squeeze, a small-scale hydraulic fracturing technique used when the flow of hydrocarbons is restricted by reduced permeability of rock formations.

Proppant squeeze is allowed under the current moratorium on fracking in England. It does require a hydraulic fracturing plan that must be approved by the Environment Agency and North Sea Transition Authority. The process was used on the Wressle-1 well.

Various fiscal amendments are poised to come into force this year, including a reduction of Corporate Income Tax from 35% to 25% – translating into a reduction of 10 points – and the reduction of Dividend Tax from 25% to 10% – a reduction of 15 points. AEW 2024 will showcase upcoming opportunities and competitive investment terms, connecting investors to Equatorial Guinean projects.

Speaking during the 2023 edition of AEW, Minister Ondo said that “We are open for business, we are open to host new investors and we are inviting you to be very pragmatic when you approach Equatorial Guinea,” and ease of doing business in the country has already led to several developments being made.”
