With regard to the likely farm in candidates perhaps the two other licences being farmed in to gives us a clue. Both are on the East Bank of the basin and the only two majors who have interests there are Woodside and ENI - and both will have their seismic results in.

Vermilion deal done and dusted

Vermilion Energy Inc. Announces the Assumption of Operatorship of the Corrib Project
CALGARY, Nov. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - Vermilion Energy Inc. ("Vermilion") (TSX, NYSE: VET) is pleased to announce the completion of the sale of Shell Overseas Holdings Limited's ("Shell") 45% interest in the Corrib Natural Gas Project in Ireland ("Corrib") to Nephin Energy Holdings Limited (NEHL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), and the transfer of operatorship to Vermilion. NEHL has acquired 100% of Shell E&P Ireland Limited ("SEPIL"), which holds 45% interest in Corrib (the "Acquisition").

Effective immediately, Vermilion has assumed contract operatorship of Corrib on behalf of the joint venture partners. CPPIB plans to transfer SEPIL along with a 1.5% working interest to Vermilion. This transfer has received all required government approvals and is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. The estimated purchase price after interim period adjustments is approximately €6 million.

Good article I've copied over on lse to save u doing it.
I like the Vermicelli embracing local community with an evening dinner. Money very well spent I'd have thought?

"Good news today is that BoE reckons the £ will plummet post brexit "

Carney speaks with forked-tongue. The opposite could happen making the well uncommercial.

GWB - Depending on the decision notice provided to EDR, there are immediate steps they can take. They could submit a letter of claim to the council indicating they are seeking a judicial review. That would mean that further discussion on the decision would be between the legal representatives of both parties and not the committee. In my opinion and only based on drilordrop reporting yesterday, the council's legal department would have no hesitation in allowing the decision to be overturned to prevent the costs of a judicial review.

If it goes to the Inspector then their initial decision will be whether or not there should be a full public inquiry. That would be astonishing if they went down that route. Only after that has happened could further legal action be taken through the ombudsman.

They will eventually produce oil from Wressle - just a matter of when and at what cost. Good news today is that BoE reckons the £ will plummet post brexit so we will get more for the oil .. ... eventually as well as the price of Gas will shoot up which will make Inishkea even more attractive.

Can we or EDR take legal action against them?

Malcy

"Egdon/Europa/Union Jack

My cynicism of the local Council process the last time I wrote about Wressle was I’m afraid fully justified as yesterday the consortium announced that the North Lincs Council planning committee had overruled the professional planning officer and refused planning again. If ever there was an example of why these buffoons should not be put in charge of much more than road-sweeping this is surely it."

'Mark Abbott, Managing Director of Egdon Resources plc, said: "The decision of the Committee, whilst not entirely unexpected, is nonetheless disappointing'.I presume the appeal document was already completed, ready to be sent by recorded mail! What an utter waste of time this - I always expected it to be refused, not because of the fundamentals, just because the locals don't want it and the councillors want to keep their jobs. This is why we need to take these decisions away from local councillors and put them in the hands of experts. The sooner the better.

When the government takes the decision making out of the councillors hands and the councillors start crying about it, we need do no more than point them to this on-going debacle, approved 3 times by their own planing officer but declined by those with no qualifications. The councillors will have bought about their own downfall. Good!

Looks like a refusal to me .. these people just have no knowledge of their responsibilities. They actually need to produce a reason why not the fact that they don't like the idea. Oh well .. off to the INspector we go I suppose abd thereafter a Judicial Review which is the certainty we get approval

GWB - less than two years to go for me. What price the share price at spud on Inishkea looking at 1TCF perhaps with a tieback to Corrib possible.

Note Vermillion made no mention of Predator - probably haven't even heard of them

Mcap after 50% take up of open offer gives 450m shares = £13.5m with cash in hand

News coming from the work over at West Firsby

Farm In for Irish Licences to be confirmed and if so with well commitments

Not holding my breath for good news this afternoon on Wressle but always a possibility that common sense will win the day

And waiting to hear of the new prospect in Morocco

What I think might be significant good news to come at the AGM will be the announcement of the new Institutional Investors. That could be very interesting indeed.

I bought some more this morning at less than the offer price which is the only downside at the moment .. dont understand that

Thanks for the info. Only 7 years to go then. What price will we get for another Wressel refusal I wonder?
