I have decided to accept the offer, much as it annoys me. I console myself by reflecting that my KAZ shares have fallen even more since I got them than my ENRC shares, so if I'm lucky (a big if) the new KAZ shares might rise more if there is a recovery.

Glencore International plc ("Glencore") response to press speculation -
Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation plc ("ENRC")


In response to press speculation, Glencore confirms that it is not in active consideration of an offer for ENRC. As a consequence of this announcement, the Panel Executive has ruled that Glencore is subject to Rule 2.8 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers in relation to ENRC. Glencore however reserves its rights to make an offer in the future with the consent of the Takeover Panel, with the recommendation of the Board of ENRC, in the event of a third party offer for ENRC, or in the event of a material change in circumstances.

There are moves occurring all across the world in different asset classes which seem aggressively inexplicable and all are occurring within the current quarter which effectively ends today.

Though many would suggest otherwise, as in the last two years, the sell off at the end of the second quarter may once more create a pivot point for markets to rise into the end of a year.

this investing game is not for the faint heated if you dabble in dodgy shares like this.
but the sheer magnitude of the falls over such a short time period is staggering.
