careful...Could it just be a case of no news for a few days now and some jangling nerves? I was amazed that the deal made this week was so accurately reported in the media prior to the RNS, so something was obviously leaked imo! Could it be nerves going into the weekend just in case more news is leaked? The other possibility is that commodity stocks are down again today. Regards DF.

I think you mean "no brain." rather than "no brainer". The share price is now at the same lowest point it was back in 2008, which if you're long means you are holding at a loss.

yet again i do not understand what is going on.
has the fraud enquiry unearthed a black hole on the accounts?
there must be an explanation to this price action other than shorting.
why are they shorting, why no buying.
someone must know something but no real information from any quarter.

with kaz on board then they must have at least 82%.

As the cash element of the bid will not change the current ENRC price values KAZ shares at £1.65 each.

Can't understand why this is falling today and Kaz is up. It presents an opportunity to buy cheap KAZ shares.

I think that you guys are mistake, The Independent Committee has rejected the bid - that does OT mean that the bid will not go through! All that is needed now is for the Kazakhmys Shareholders to vote FOR the bid and the BOARD of KAZ has already given absolute support for the bid!

It seems a bit schizophrenic to see ENRC diving while KAZ Shares are climbing because any movement in KAZ should be matched by the same movement in ENRC shares because they are inextricable intertwined as of Monday when thhe bid was made!

My only thought is that KAZ is being considered by someone for a buyout bid...wonder who???

if it fails the founders have to find ways of increasimg the free float from 18% to 25%.
it will cost them at todays price, dilution.

This company, if run properly could become quite valuable again.
agreed there are difficulties in the commodity markets right now that need managing, but that has always been the case in this cyclical industry.

Hi Careful - I guess until the deal gets the go ahead the share price may stay subdued. What you need to ask yourself is, what will happen if it falls through? It is possible that the share price will deteriorate until issues with the company have been addressed properly. So I think it's just caution at the moment. However if it does go through then you are quite right there is upside from here.

the share price based upon the offer should be around 230p.
that is based upon todays kaz share price.
ENRC seems to be trading at a large discount.
any theories?

if the deal goes ahead an obvious 8%+ gain is there for the taking.

Been busy most of the day and haven't even had the chance to read the rnses thoroughly.

Is it just me. Nothing of any importance happens to the shares I hold while I'm around and can monitor things but if I go out to a birthday lunch, watch the tennis or go on holiday or on a break or have some other business thing on there are rapid developments.

Nolens - if Kerimov made an offer for the entire issued share capital of KAZ in a "Russian-Knight" move, he takes the whole lot i.e. he gets 26% of ENRC and will have the independent voters backing him - KAZ is minimally geared at 22% so there is a lot of potential leverage - also, the Independent directors have advised the minority shareholders not to back the offer by the Oligarchs - so one wonders whether they have a "plan-b2 with Kerimov ..

The next week is going to be crucial man!

because in the meantime KAZ shares are going down, so the deal is worth even less.
