24/5/2013 10:17 | You've got to be kidding, right? They've got the SFO breathing down their necks. | cfb2
24/5/2013 09:33 | Rival Offer coming soon..... | tanzz786
23/5/2013 10:37 | What a terrible company. Now they've lost company data through some sort of security breach! | sirgainalot
22/5/2013 12:46 | Less than 20% of the total shares are free floating though. I did get a small £20pp bet on this morning - closed it at 260 but still made a few quid | dr biotech
22/5/2013 12:30 | just 4m shares traded out of over 1bn and it moves 10%. probably traders using borrowed shares. the price fixing mechanism is obviously wrong. if they do not fix it soon i will become very rich. and all i am doing is pushing money around. | careful
22/5/2013 12:25 | a 10% recovery in the last 4 hours. never boring and loaded with opportunity for the brave. | careful
22/5/2013 10:28 | Bit of an odd dip this morning. This one is full of rumours. | dr biotech
22/5/2013 07:29 | Going down nicely. I did warn people here. | smurfy2001
20/5/2013 15:29 | Careful post 1243 "just read the daily telegraph. info after close that the offer was worth £2.47 in cash and Kaz shares provided by the kaz governments holding. this would solve the 25% free float issue." ? Kaz PLC getting rid of the kaz govt. as shareholders certainly improves the kaz free float though | nolens volens
20/5/2013 07:54 | hoping for a serious offer over the next 2 fw weeks. | careful
20/5/2013 07:22 | kaz up enrc down in early trade. | careful
19/5/2013 19:50 | I anticipate a counter from KAZ plus Suleiman Kerimov The real value here is, as it was prior to ENRC IPO - who would control the Natural Resources of Kazakhstan - the Kazakh Government took a piece of KAZ initially to be able to hold significant equity in a previously touted SUPER Resources Company, the initial attempt at merger/acquisition failed so the Kazakh Govt. was left holding equity in two listed miners What it is now attempting is to move its stake into one of them at the cost of the minority shareholders in ENRC. | tanzz786
19/5/2013 19:25 | The opening tomorrow will just be a gamble on the chance of an increased offer. | careful
19/5/2013 19:07 | Two weeks ago "a top 20 investor" said "If this went out at 250 pence (per share), then everyone would say that they would never ever look at anything from Kazakhstan again. The government will not want that to happen." Whilst I doubt they would give a toss about us small holders, its not going to be good for their image. | dr biotech
19/5/2013 18:08 | Early fall Monday am then if it's going to be a low ball offer, take it or leave it kind of deal. | shugsy
19/5/2013 15:53 | trying to understand this ENRC. kaz shares are trading at a low of 338p right now. o.23 x 338p =78p. 175p + 78p = 253p. which means they MUST value volatile kaz at 370p to make 260p. the market will have to judge on monday weather this is an initial low ball offer and what a realistic value of kaz is. by the time this lot is settled kaz may be trading at 450p. that woulD be 104p + 175p = 280p. this offer will probably be improved upon. who knows. | careful
19/5/2013 06:33 | From the times Details of the offer, which was rejected by a committee of independent directors emerged yesterday. A consortium of three central Asian oligarchs - Alexander Mashkevitch, Alijan Ibragimov and Patokh Chodiev - and the Kazakh government has offered 260p a share. ENRC closed on Friday at 271½p, valuing the company at £3.5bn. Shareholders would receive 175p a share in cash, plus 0.23 of a share in Kazakhmys, another mining group that has a 20% stake in ENRC. | dr biotech
18/5/2013 14:26 | tanzz786 Good post yesterday at 18:36. The answer was AQR Capital Management, LLC not Blackrock. | nolens volens
18/5/2013 14:19 | LOL Why announce your departure twice when you didn't announce your arrival and nobody's too bothered about the comings and goings of small fry in any case. It is only worthy of note if you are holding 3 per cent plus here. | nolens volens
18/5/2013 13:36 | I doubt that the final offer will come in at 300p. The market isn't expecting much improvement on the current offer, valued at c. 270p, hence Friday's closing price. I think 280-285p is your best bet and the NEDs will have little option but to accept. All imho, but good luck to all holders. I'll not buy back in but move my cash elsewhere instead. | hyden
18/5/2013 13:07 | Backlash to hit scandal-tainted City. | leedskier
18/5/2013 11:35 | The TimesENRC fell 23¾p to 271½p amid rumours that the trio of oligarchs looking to take the controversial Kazakh miner private would throw in a low-ball offer. ENRC confirmed that it had received an informal proposal, but not its price. The oligarchs have until June 3 to get serious. | illuminati1
18/5/2013 08:44 | just read the daily telegraph. info after close that the offer was worth 247p in cash and Kaz shares provided by the kaz governments holding. this would solve the 25% free float issue. i would prefer kaz shares instead of cash as they too are of low value. it depends upon how many kaz shares and at what value. | careful
18/5/2013 08:29 | 247p + shares in kaz could take it well above 300p. such confusion. most people are talking gibberish. will be patient, all will be revealed. i cannot believe they will get away with cash+shares of below 300p. | careful |
