20/6/2019 09:32 | Cudgie you need to read up on your history, whale oil was the liquid fuel of choice before crude oil was commercialised. Charles I didn't mention Pd because Pt was being discussed. I don't believe we will ever see an arbitrage back to Pt. Autos are investing all their Capex in EVs and won't be interested in catalyst supply chain reorganisation. I think they'll just suck up the PD price. I'm bullish Pd, would be nice if EUA could give a clear view on what is required to get MT going, including a risk assessment of Sinosteel going ahead. | zhockey

20/6/2019 08:23 | PennStreet, It would be good to get news on current production, and the current anticipated timeline for Monchetundra, but I doubt we will get anything so specific. If they were planning to say anything significant, I think we would probably have had a 7:00AM RNS. | mostyn

20/6/2019 00:00 | Zh - whale oil is not something that I have being paying particular attention to. Could you please post links to projected supply / demand? - From your research so far, I think I'll steer clear of that one. Thanks for the tip-off Meanwhile, in EUA land, I have added a few more shares on the basis of recent photo's and video clip at WK - I am not too convinced that the new conveyor belt is robust enough ... but it seems easy to maintain in the event of breakdown Am sure that there is plenty going on in the background And then, of course, there is MT and all those implications :-) | cudgietoo
19/6/2019 22:30 | z - you conveniently forgot to mention Pd which is used to make cats for petrol vehicles. They can't get enough of it and we have tons of the stuff at MT. | charles clore
19/6/2019 22:29 | Pt and Pd are both similar A part of the diesel collapse , Reason pt is much cheaper is because you need more of it to do same work as Pd Pd market is larger than pt market in cash and oz | book5
19/6/2019 22:19 | Z It’s also in short supply that’s why the price keeps rising. | driver101
19/6/2019 22:04 | The problem with Platinum is that it's a dying commodity, like Whale oil. The only hope for Platinum is H2E and that's 15 years away if it happens at all. | zhockey
19/6/2019 17:56 | CC Still frightening how much Greenland melting is accelerating And we have trigger events that can cook the planet, once triggered, in 10 years or less Today I Read airbus has presented an electrical hybrid airplane Read also lots of efforts put into improving storing and transporting of hydrogen, we need another Alfred Nobel that do to the hydrogen industry what he did to nitroglycerin | book5
19/6/2019 17:51 | book - the thing is, there's not much profit in hydrogen technology for the oligarchs so adoption isn't incentivised except by cleaner energy which won't interest them until the planet is almost dead. You might think 'ah, just what the world is advocating', but justification of a clean energy tax is difficult so they will leave it on the back burner for as long as they can. They may even find a way to outlaw it or classify the patents which is what they did with Tesla's unlimited free energy. They decided the world wasn't ready for it (they had too much income coming from fossil fuels). So yes we may have to wait a long time for hydrogen tec adoption to take off. But, in the interim we still have catalytic converters to build. | charles clore

19/6/2019 16:43 | Palladium and Platinum both on the rise ! | snowman100
19/6/2019 15:02 | Ed - that means pgms have to keep rising to enable SA to continue producing whereas EUA can out perform anywhere in the world economically. This has to be a no brainer. | charles clore
